I know it's still early, but I do think we need scoring help. Especially if there's a chance we lose Brunner, Filppula & Cleary. That's why I wanted Vinny. He is a perfect fit for this team. Everyone on this board always wants "big tough guys who can score" But always "not at that price" Wake up people, NHL GM's HAVE TO spend now a days. It's just the way it is. On a side note, I fully expect one of Tatar, NyQuist, or Sheahan to become a star.

I don't by any means think Jurco or Teemu are NHL ready...probably not even close. But they'd be a better option than a 3 mill Cleary. He skates like the Timbits at intermission, leaning on his stick for balance and falls over when grazed. I'm kind of done watching him play for Detroit.

Maybe Nill will throw us a bone a swap us his first for ours and Emmerton But seriously, I don't hate Emmerton and I like him on this team. Doesn't take any shifts off.

At times he was our best forward who didn't just announce an extension or doesn't wear that odd 'C' on his jersey. I say give him 3-years, 3.25 per year. Dude can OBVIOUSLY score, he improved a ton in just half a season in the NHL. I think he can up his production and the cap hit could be a huge steal.
