Still champions? We lost. We aren't anything right now other than the runners-up. We definitely battled as injuries and fatigue worked against us, but can we as a fan base quit trying to find ways to avoid crediting Pittsburgh for beating us? They beat us. It wasn't easy. They deserve the Cup. Next season we take it back.

That's like complaining your arm hurts while you repeatedly slam it in a car door.

Wait, people care and/or are upset by this? Why? If Ilitch wanted to spit on his shoes, it's his prerogative to do it. I'd like to think he wouldn't do something like that, but if he did.....what can we do about it? He's not required to be nice to the guy, no one is. I'd have more of a problem with this if say.....we won and Nick wouldn't look at the guy when taking the Cup from him or something. Losing the Cup has brought out the worst in some people.

Maybe some people are more interested in making sure they have money in the bank to feed their families. I can't begrudge them that. I love the Wings, but if I needed the money and there were bills that absolutely needed to be paid or there was no food in the house.....I'd sell that ticket faster than you can say "Karen Newman's rack."

I didn't watch any of the post-game trophy presentations. I couldn't stomach it. Sure it's great to have a dream fulfilled and all that jazz, but if it ain't Nick and the boys holding it, I have no desire to see it.

My dad has a growth on his kidney and is having part of said kidney removed on Thursday, so excuse me all to hell for having heavier things on my mind at the moment.
