Are we in trouble? Yes. Is it panic time? It won't be panic time until we're behind after 2 periods in game 7. But if our guys think they can lollygag through the tournament, we will be at panic time shortly.

Team speed is winning it for Dallas. They get to every 50/50 puck and lundqvist is just sick fast. The Wings can match the speed, but Babs prolly needs to think about inserting some youth into the lineup. Our lack of speed is elmiinating any pp chances right now. Also, the Wings are a puck control team but the Stars are selling out and rushing the puck carrier and our guy is not moving it in time. The Stars have upped the pace a notch and the Wings are not responding.

If you're not worried, you're not paying attention. Once again, beating the Wings 4 in a row is not probable, but this team looks tired and slow all of a sudden. Part of it is that the Stars really are faster than they showed in games 1-3, but part is that guys like chelios, mac, malts, sammy, flip, and cleary are either done physically or tentative mentally. Now we get to see what this team is made of. Motown Musclemen or Swedish Meatballs?

This is true. But when the Pens acquired Hossa, they officially became capable of beating Detroit in a 7 game series. Will they? I doubt it as not only are we at full strength (praying Mule gets back before the series) but we're also playing to our ability in every aspect of the game. When those planets align, I don't see anyone winning a 7 gamer against the Wings, though it'd be the Pens if anyone. I think Pens players and fans will be shocked that they won't be able to saunter through the neutral zone and that the Wings' forwards are the best back checkers in the game. It's gonna get awfully clogged. The only thing I can see undoing us is the Pens forcing us into sloppy turnovers in our own end due to relentless forecheck. But since Lilja's in the press box, I worry less...

I can't agree. People are kissing Red Wing ass from here to Poughkeepsie. Hradek says the Wings are THAT good. Burnside has said the series is as good as over, even with Dallas playing to their ability. Billy Ray Candy Ass has all but got on his knees and serviced all 4 lines. The cat's out of the bag--people know this team is fearsome.

So Dallas can run their 'buy a ticket, get a broomsticking' promotion...All Hullie's idea, i'm sure.
