Just wanted to have a light-hearted discussion regarding the departure of Matthew Schneider and Todd Bertuzzi to Anaheim after last year. Do you think they are re-thinking their decisions now that they are on the golf course? I hated to see Schneider go but Bertuzzi was a waste in my opinion. I'm interested in hearing your comments. Feel free to mention other former Wings also.

Don't hate Dallas, we did have our humble pie last year and every year that we won the President's Trophy and was oustered in round 1 or 2. It just happens that this year, everything SEEMS to be falling into place (knock on wood).

I agree 100%. The 2 D-Men we got to replace them are better. I just liked Schneider.

Pavel and Hank have both stepped it up and have become what many knew they could be. Here's to a long career as a Redwing for both of them! Perhaps someday, we will be retiring their jerseys........

Welcome aboard! I too want to wish you luck with Philly. If it comes to a Wings-Penguins final (which is looking pretty likely), it will be a good series. I tend to agree with everyone else though, your team, although very good, just does not have the depth that you would need to beat Detroit. The Wings are firing on all cylinders right now and would be very difficult to defeat. Either way, here's to you guys beating Philly! P.S. Tell your guys not to play dirty and not be disrespectful like Dallas is now. It only makes us play better!

I had heard a rumor some time back that Shanahan made the move to NYR because he was looking to set up a job with the NHL after he retires. Has anyone else ever heard that?

Very true, however, I still liked him. I guess, all things considered, our blue line is pretty good now. Lids, Raf, Kronner, Stewie (pretty good addition) are very solid. Cheli and the rest are doing a good job also.

Cheli may have been steamed at first but I think that coming to Detroit has been good for him. He is a fan favorite, he has a successful restaurant and the Wings have had a good track record since he has been here. Granted, you can't take away the memories of Chicago but overall, I think he is happy.

I say that if we have a sizeable lead with 2 minutes left, send out Downey. If he gets suspended, not a big deal. I am sure Downey will "take one for the team"!

I sent the following email to VS. Probably won't do any good but I am sick of these idiot announcers. "Dear VS, I would like to take this time to voice my (and a lot of Detroit fans) utter disgust at your announcers saying the slash to Detroit’s goalie was “justified”. Your announcers are clearly biased against Detroit as they are always making excuses for the teams that Detroit has beaten. NOTHING JUSTIFIES that kind of attack! Other players have been charged criminally for attacks like that! If this is your idea of fair coverage of the Stanley Cup playoffs then do us all a favor and STOP COVERING HOCKEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

This is the WCF! If this Dallas team can't play after 3 days of rest then they have no business being here! Do they need a 2 week spring break?
