if you think its unwarranted, then youve got the thickest homer glasses on. some of it is probably over the line (not denying that i participate) but youve gotta have SOME confidence in your goalie if your gonna win games. how much you wanna bet that when jovanoski got that breakaway, half the bench knew it was going in? as sad as it is, its probably very true. blame a defense lapse all you want, but it doesnt automatically mean that he shouldnt stop it. i wont even go into the almost kicked in goal, because thats definitely not the first time ive seen something like, and definitely not few and far between.

ozzie is a travesty

we've seen 3 fresh faces, who stays, whos goes down, who comes back up?? i thought abdelkadar and leino played with alot of heart, an energy on this team i havent seen in a while. downey was great and filled his role, laying out the hammers and opening the ice up. who else do you wanna see? who else are we able to see? who do you wanna keep?

he scored a fancy, goal-scorers goal, but behind it, read the play perfect (knew hossa couldnt get the pass across) and bang in back hand style. also played very positionally sound and brought great energy.

i gotta say, only ovechkins 1st goal was soft. conklin made some huge saves early on, they easily could of had a couple more. great job to leino and abdelkadar, they really played like they wanted a spot on the team, and even though i still think kopecky should be long gone, he played today with alot of hustle, and made a few good steals. guess it just wasnt in the cards for us to win this one. above all, we should be embarrassed we couldnt score 5 on 3, even if the game was out of reach.
