get a player more focused on physical game? maybe. a thug? hell no, one of the reasons i love this team is because thugs dont play here. holland will have none of that. that said, if they did pick up a player more focused on physicality, where would he fit in? the checking line? the fourth line? whose place would he take? you have to ask yourself these questions before considering making a move. one of my ideas is that the players could take a lesson from datsyuk and use the body more. he is so effective because he is smart, he knows when to hit and when not to. he has a great vision for reading the play, and most often disrupts a good chance by the other team. his hit on versteeg may have saved the game, we dont know for sure. imagine if versteeg got a pass off to someone and they scored. datsyuk effectively eliminated the play. time for datsyuk clinic 2.0

a term i will not soon forget

a review of OT by a flames fan off their boards. OT Good flow, but it was all Detroit, with a couple Flames chances. Tobasco was again the story as he simply stood on his head for the greater pert of the extra frame. And that shot by Lidstrom was a howitzer and no Fault of McE’s that it went it. howitzer? i love it!! we did dominate OT, and their goalie was the only reason it was prolonged. another close game by the wings, but they sure showed alot of gusto coming back. ive accepted that almost every game is gonna be a battle, so this win to me was great. is that a bad thing?

i hope we drive him to slash another one of our players !!

glad to see they FINALLY have switched things up. too bad that ansar guy didnt say how they looked practicing...or maybe its too hard to tell playing against each other. in my perfect world, ZDH would be back together, i miss that line so much, that line that struck fear into the opposition, that line that would score on a turnover 8 out of 10 times. bring it back!!!! anyways, glad to see they are shuffling, cant wait to see stuart-lidstrom, should be a good balance of power with skill

been saying this for weeks. its almost like they go out of their way to avoid the check, it drives me nuts. we'd create many more solid chances and turnovers if they werent afraid to use the body. i love pasha more and more each game as he is increasingly willing to smash into someone.

hey guys, im gonna be going to the Dec 13th game vs. the coyotes, and i wanna bring an octopus to hurl on the ice. i seem to remember there being a guide to boiling them and how to "wear" it inside by concealing it good. ill be wearing my trusty #19 jersey and probably baggy pants so it shouldnt be too hard. anyone know where i can find this article?? and also, how far back can you be to successfully chuck it?? im gonna be in upper bowl for this one, so i figure im gonna have to find a way down to lower level. anyone thrown one here before?? edit: i hope to royally piss off the gretz

dude, the first one was weak as hell. i cant believe no one called him out on it, or i missed it. he sat there and watched it go, at the very least wasnt prepared for it at all.
