thanks for the good turn out LGW-ers ! it seems that, all joking aside, there really isnt one area of major concern between us. goal tending and grit/toughness are the common concensus (sp?), with a few of us concerned about goal scoring, and a few not concerned at all. datsyuks continued dominance on play making, and not goal scoring is also what we want most. and lastly, most of us are pulling for 40 for homer !!! thanks to all that voted, and an extra special thanks to those that elaborated.

are you kidding?? dom scared the s*** out of me every time he traveled out the crease, which was quite frequently. the gaborik flip was and will be legendary forever though

we dont neccesarily need someone to drop the mitts regularly, only when needed, but i definitely think we need someone to step up with big hits. last night was a good example, i saw many prime chances for a big check, and none delivered (sans franzen but that was only because flip got laid out) . i dont think fighting should be an integral part of a team (and its not on this team), only an added bonus. ill use philly as an example, because i have to live with so many flyers fans (:punch:) i hear all the time how philly is stacked with fighters, but to me, that leads to a largely undisciplined team, that plays more with their emotion than their heads. they gave up 14 penalties last night (not counting 5 minute majors) thats half the game for christs sake. that to me in just unacceptable.

ps. i hate the talk about dats not putting one in yet, you dont have to be a goal scorer to be an integral part of the team

no kidding ! you can just dump a guy who has been here almost his whole career, a fan favorite, and a part of every championship team in order to bring in a younger player who wouldnt get as many minutes as he would on griffins. theres a reason they are the coaches and we are the fans!! i would like to see sammy gone though.
