Yes, but they were horrible in their first games. They were down 3-0 in the first game against the Rangers, but they battled back. Something about being off for an extended amount of time throws their game off. I'm confident things will be different in game 2 (even if they don't win).

It's easy to think that, but from our experience thus far in the playoffs, we've had ugly starts in each of our series. I'm not trying to take anything away from the Red Wings though, they played solid and deserved the win.

Good game from the Wings. They all around defeated the Pens. It's only the first game though, and thus far, the Pens have played this bad in each of them. Don't expect it to be this easy next game.

Osgood has looked good. We'll see if he keeps it up. The disallowed goal was a reputation call, nothing more nothing less. It was a bad call though, I would have been pissed.

Your constant above and beyond whining has grown annoying. Quit getting so offended if people don't agree with your point of view. I have yet to see one post from you supporting the Red Wings, instead, it's all about your hatred for Pittsburgh.

I wouldn't go that far. The greatest thing that could ever happen to the Wings would be to move them into the eastern conference.

Plain and simple, the Penguins get a lot of their coverage because of Crosby. And he earned the attention.

I'm still up in the air about how the Crosby / Hossa line will preform. As I've stated before, they're going up against a very dominate line and they're running on around 60% chemistry. Throw in that Crosby is only about 80% healthy and I think the Pens second line will be our dominate one. -

Their not as good defensively as our top line, but they're still above average. Their puck possession though, definitely is better then our top line. -

Thank you for a well thought out, honest, intellectual post. What I think a lot of Wings fans fail to realize is that the Pens second line is their best. This line is better then our number 1 line. Crosby and Hossa still are only working on about 60% chemistry. -

Same could be said to you, has your defense seen lines of the Pens calibre? I'm not putting your defense down, I'm merely pointing out that it teeters on idiotic to say that Detroits 3rd line has an advantage over probably the best line in hockey this year. -
