If Holland isn't going to get a defenseman through free agency, and isn't going to get a defenseman through trade, how the hell is he going to get a defenseman for next season? Does he not realize that signing/acquiring players isn't free? He has to give up something to get something damnit. I respect Holland for all he has done but this is getting frustrating. I sincerely hope that he is making an offer for Yandle.

Datsyuk has always been under Zetterberg in the playoffs. Zetterberg has always been the leader and the dominant force both offensively and defensively. Datsyuk has had a few good runs in the past, but I feel that with Zetterberg's injury, Datsyuk has the perfect opportunity to put the team on his back in the playoffs and take them deep. I think Zetterberg's injury will end up being longer than we expect, as it goes with these "day-to-day" things. I am not saying Datsyuk hasn't performed well in the playoffs before, but he has never really been "the guy" for an extended period of time IN THE PLAYOFFS. I think it is a challenge that Datsyuk realizes and he will live up to. I am excited to see what he can do and I am excited to see Datsyuk play Wednesday.

Lidstrom got an assist last night vs. Minnesota, right? On the Holmstrom goal? I don't understand why he didn't get a +1 then... Can someone please explain?

I don't know how you could possibly give Bertuzzi anything less than an A. I mean, seriously, what more did you expect from him. He's exceeded my expectations easily.

With all the crap he got at the beginning of the season, he has been playing really well in my opinion the past few games. I don't know the stats, but he seems to really be meshing. It seemed to start when Abdelkader came into the lineup. Anyways, just wanted to recognize his improved play

Osgood will be the playoff goalie. Until Osgood chokes in the playoffs, he will remain our playoff goalie. Osgood was made for the playoffs.

Grand Rapids metro has 770,000 people. The Grand Rapids-Muskegon-Holland Area has 1.35 million people. So yes there is enough people to support an NHL team in that area. It still probably wouldnt work though.
