you know what is spectacular? There is not ONE thread on the pens forums about players from other teams. not about their skill, not about their media coverage, not about their playoff leading performance (see crosby) and especially not about their facial hair. at last count, this forum had 1,427 threads on crosby. the obsession with sid on this forum borders on insane. but as always....... good luck against the hawks, hope to see you in the finals.

im guessing stick envy. as a pens fan, i would rather sid be known for hoisting the cup a few times, but the fact is he IS marketable and has also CLEARLY earned some of his accolades (see stats). I guess having him force fed to you all the time would get old (if he isnt on your team), much the way i AM SICK of hearing about tom brady and the Patriots ha ha. having said that......... i have never seen fans from other cities spend more time obsessing over one person.

just so you all know..... most people outside detroit think it is your defense and NOT your goaltender that deserves all the credit.... pretty much think any nhl goalie could win the cup with your guys out front........ hence his under rated status

the same logic would apply to the red wings then. if you wanted to get overly analytical.... the wings so far are short handed 3.5 times per game to the pens 3.6 times per game. the pens have had an average of 5 pp's per game vs the redwings 4.6 power plays per game. so those stats are virtually a wash. however the pens are a whopping plus 19 and wings a lofty plus 14..... but if you watched the pens / caps series, you would have noticed the the caps had no choice but to take penalties as most of their time was spent chasing the pens or fighting of a very effective forecheck. additionally the caps were the 3rd most penalized team in the league during the regular season. you would also realize that the first series was against the flyers who are ... well...... the flyers . who as usual were the second most penalized team in the league. did everyone expect these two teams to suddenly become saints because the playoffs started?? not saying there have not been missed calls against the pens............ just saying there have been missed calls against everyone......... lets all stop the whiney conspiracy referee bias bla bla bla.

the amount of whining that takes place about officiating is nothing short of hilarious. missed calls and invented calls for both sides....... you sure you guys arent from washington?

im sure you have plenty of other traits to make fun of.... pick a sport, any sport and coaches call out officials. if you dont, you are not doing your job as coach. there have been bad calls and non calls on BOTH sides..... get over it and move on. if you want to point to a reason you lost the game, try looking at 55 saves by m.a.f.. that was a spectacular performance
