as a pens fan: one of your bright new stars totally turtled against tyler (4'2") kennedy your biggest star clearly wanted nothing to do with (i've NEVER thrown a punch in anger) malkin although i have always believed that when the league really starts to enforce all its rules game in and game out, the canadian boys would be out of work, until that happens , you have to have a mix of north american players who are tough and keep the other team in check. im not talking about goons obviously, they should still be able to score on an empty net ha ha. it was awesome to see max "freaking" talbot do it for our club. many posters here have stated repeatedly that the wings would beat the pens because the wings were a TEAM and the Pens were 2 players. Having our role players step up was crucial given zet's work against crosby. but just as important is that is, when a 3rd or 4th line player "takes one for the team" as talbot did in philly, or "dishes one out for the team" the momentum swing can be HUGE

just goes to show that anyone can write an internet blog.

sorry if i singled you out. by obsession i meant some posters inability to refer to our captain by his name without typing f*&k or D^*k or cindy etc. i meant rather than talk about the games, they prefer to endlessly over and over complain about this kid. perhaps our city should just start whining that Lidstrom left the ice too fast because he is a sore loser? NOT TRUE I KNOW, but very similar. if crosby shook the hands of half your team with no problem, he did not avoid the other half on purpose. he celebrated for a minute or two longer than you would have liked. nothing more i hope he matures as a captain too..... but freakin relax a little and give him some time.

yea, any run of the mill goalie could hold a team which you all call the best team in hockey to 1 goal in game 6 and 1 goal in game 7. that aside, when fleury is on he is very good obviously. when he is not on he is bad. hopefully as he matures (only 24 yrs old) he is more consistant.

this from the guy who said pittsburgh was a two person team. so lets bring in the one man team next year! you have your bar set pretty low for goosebumps ha ha:) its all good. congrats on a great season. hope to see you next year.

think the microscope on him is a little too small. and im sure he is a little sick of being called out for everything opposing fans see as unacceptable behavior by a 21 yr old. i can see the team that lost not wanting to hang around on the ice to watch the winning team celebrate, i can see the team that won wanting to celebrate with their teamates. so he didnt rush over to shake hands for a few minutes, give him a freakin break, he just won the stanley cup. maybe we in pittsburgh should be complaining that lidstrom didnt wait long enough before returning to the locker room. which would be whiney of us. im guessing in every cup not every player gets to shake hands with every player. if draper is bored and really wants to dwell on it.... look at the players that were still in line that crosby shook hands with. im guessing there were a few there that crosby would have way more reason to be pissed at than lidstrom . having said all that, im sure he has learned from this and will not make the same mistake again

well im glad you arent among those people. my guess would be he got caught up in the single most exciting moment in his life to date and maybe didnt get to the line as quickly as he should have. the kid gets torn up for everything that he does. im sure he will mature to everyones lofty standards in time.

if you live in pittsburgh, or follow pittsburgh media, and have seen or heard sid address the handshake issue, you would know it was not on purpose and that he regrets it happening.

Kane would be great........ should be more than one person to begin with. dont get me wrong, i love crosby being on my team as a player, but i totally understand people getting sick of seeing him. but you cant have a brain in your head (not talking about you) if you come on this or any other board and say that he sucks as a player.

you cannot pick a european, that does not speak perfect english and looks like he got hit by a train to be the face to market the NHL in NORTH AMERICA. OV is a phenomenal player, but not a marketable personality.

dont hate the player, hate the game. yes he is over exposed (not entirely his fault)..... but if you have ever heard him interviewed, you would know he is nothing but class.
