I'll be at my Dad's 61st birthday party surrounded by loud, diehard, put-your-fist-through-a-wall-when-things-dont-go-your-way Penguins fans. My mom suggested that the game not be on because it'll be like WWIII with me cheering for the Wings (in my usual intense way) and everyone else cheering for the Pens (in THEIR usual intense way). I don't think that'll go over well. It's my hope to leave the party early and watch the rest of the game at home, but if I can't get away... it'll be interesting.

Its been big so far, I don't see why that would change now. We get the matchups we want on Crosby and Malkin, the rest is just beating Fleury.

You won three games? Wow! Where were all the Pens fans after they got their heads handed to them in Game 5? Twenty four hours ago, nobody was talking about the Pens in Pittsburgh and there wasn't any Pens fans on this board. They win A game and all of a sudden everyone is a Pens fan again and they're all over Red Wings message boards. Oh and the Pens are 0-3 and have been outscored 11-2 in the Joe in this series. But I don't think you need a Wings fan to point that out. Do you?

Actually I think there's a decent chance you don't show your face on this board again after Friday night.

Pens fans see what they want. Most of them were outraged about Hossa bumping into Garon in the third period of Game 5, meanwhile Crosby and Malkin both take cheap shots against Z and Franzen, Talbot slashes Datsyuk with a clear attempt to injure and Kunitz flat out assaults Darren Helm.

Datsyuk and Franzen. Hossa will be invisible again.

I keep reading this "Whistle party" crap from Pens. The Pens were playing like a pack of thugs taking cheap shot after cheap shot. They deserved to be penalized. Pens fans make it out like the refs were picking on them or something. When you act like a goon, you get called. I would think playing the Flyers six times a year, you would know this already.

The refs were bad last night, but it didn't cost us the game. I don't think the refs actually favor anyone, I just think they're incompetent.

I have to get up at 5am the next morning and drive across PA, so it better not go into OT.

I'm thinking 90%. - Its at home. They'll have the energy for the game and the energy from the fans. - An octopus will hit the ice - We'll get the matchups we want. - We've done really well at home against everyone, especially the Pens. - History is on our side. I don't have the stat in front of me, but I think its been like 30 years since a visitor has won game 7 in the Finals on the road. - We ARE the better team. We have better defensemen, better forwards, our goalie is playing better than theirs. Our coach is better than theirs. We're just simply better and now we only have to prove it one more time. Lots of reasons to be optimistic and I'm a person that gets pessimistic pretty easily.

Its funny you say that because I overheard a conversation in my office and this girl said she really wanted to get a Fleury jersey, but then he got blown out on Saturday and didn't want it anymore. Now she said she wants one again. LOL Afterwards, she said she's a fair weather fan. At least she knows it. lol

Hmmm it appears as though all the Pens fans are the board again. Welcome back! What happened between Game 5 and 6? So typical of Pittsburgh people. Yesterday, not a single person talked about the game, now its what EVERYBODY wants to talk about.

Why does it have to be so close?! I want to count down the final seconds, not throwing up during the last minute. lol

Well yeah, of course I'd rather have Conklin, but there's no way the Wings will be able to keep him after this season. I thought maybe Cujo could be like another Ozzie or Hasek, but I think he's too old at this point.

Maybe Cujo could come back to the Wings and be Ozzie's backup since Conklin will definitely be gone. EDIT: Then again, he's 42. Hmmmm... maybe not.

I love hockey, but if the season ended tonight, that'd be great. With Datsyuk back and the Cup on the line, the Wings should finish it tonight.
