You'll have to excuse us for our vehement defense of our defence (lol). For 20 years the Pens have been associated with "fire wagon" hockey....all offense...no defense. 10th in the league this year...1st in the playoffs through 3 rounds.... You guys have a TERRIFIC defense....anyone saying any different just doesnt get it. But yeah...lol...we get real sensitive when our defense isnt recognized...so..it is what it is.... Is ours better...on paper of course not...but thats why they play the games....

Zetterberg/Datsyuk-Crosby/Malkin seems to be a constant comparison....as a wash.... Does anyone realize that Crosby and Malkin DO NOT play on the same line???

I believe it will be revealed after the season that Malkin had a mild concussion in game one....a wicked Richards hit just before Malkin scored the short handed goal... add to that a case of the flu...and yeah...he was limited in games 2-5.... With a week to heal and rest...he will be 100% Saturday night...Geno does not normally shy away from physicality

I couldnt agree more I have much respect for the Wings...their players..and their scheme.... The 1st two games will be an excercise in who can adjust to who..... I cant wait!!!

Relax.... You averaged under 3 goals a game against an average Dallas team (defensively)....my only point is...you will fare no better against us. How can one really make the generalization about the whole "west vs east" thing?....with this screwed up schedule...they rarely play each other.

Consider the source...Burnside...'nuff said.... Serious question...you guys did not score a ton of goals on Dallas.....do you seriously think Dallas is better than the Pens defensively? Have you watched the Pens this post season at all? This series goes either way....I will submit that your defensemen may rank higher than ours....but there is much more to defense than just the D-men Do not underestimate the Pens defensively

Absolutely agree on the face off advantage...its been our weakness forever...however Staal and Crosby hold their own..... Experience...thats a tough X-factor...one of the things Ive been most impressed with for the Pens is the extreme poise and focus of our young core....after finishing the Flyers...you couldnt tell in the players faces if we had won or lost....laser focus....much attributed to the coach and how expertly he manages this young group I cant wait to see this series!!

Feel free to overlook our defensive excellence....everyone else has..... Best GAA in the playoffs...and before you start in on who we have played.... Thw Wings have not exactly gone up against any offensively excellent teams (Nashville, Colorado, Dallas)

Cmon...another teams board is ALWAYS going to predict big things for their team Whats truly unique about this series is that the fan bases for each team really do not know too much about the other.... You do realize that Malkin and Crosby are on seperate lines....right? See...this is the dilemma...Pens have two 1st lines....pick your poison..... I was so impressed with Zetterburg and Datsyuk defensively....but playing all that defense against either of our top two lines will limit their offensive production. Franzen is the X-factor...if he comes back...things will be very interesting
