Series tied 2-2...but the first stomping of the series goes to the good guys...woohoo!
-
We're leading by two on the road...why fight and get the crowd and the home team back into it emotionally...faahhck...
-
adios, hiller...welcome to tha party, fatboy!

Okay...so I talked all day about how I wasn't watching this game...ALL DAY...I was dead set on checking the score tomorrow morning...but being in a family full of Wings fans, I got talked into it at the last second...and this is what happens...I quit.

I just think of our regular season game against the Sharks last year...the puck flies off into the netting, every player on the ice starts looking around and looking up...the ref looks around for a second or two and raises the whistle to his lips, but right as he starts to blow into it, the puck drops to Setoguchi's stick and gets banged in, so this bastard hurls the whistle right out of his mouth and points to the goal...he obviously had the "intent to blow." So in that case...the "intent to blow" didn't mean the play was anywhere near dead. But in the case of last night...the "intent to blow" meant the play was dead seconds before Hossa scored. What they need to say is "Life's not fair, our refs suck, if you don't like it, don't watch, because we'll never admit a mistake, no matter how obvious. If Watson wants to set Zetterberg's jersey on fire while he's not looking, THE RIGHT THING WILL HAVE BEEN DONE." And the media is quick to forgive the call and call it "just playoff hockey." They're all just thrilled to bits by the thought of these shaved gorillas smashing and pillaging their way to another cup.

LOL! I've seen this guy play a few times, cuz our city has a CHL team that the Brahma's visit. We thought his name was a joke, like "Ocho Cinco" or something. He might be one of the slowest skaters in that league, which is saying something, as watching the CHL is like watching hockey on downers. As for the topic at hand, when I see Schneider...everytime I see Quincey play I think of Meech and get a little nauseous...lately, I've been forgetting about Lilja...he'd be nice to have on the PK right about now.
-
Yesh...in fact NBC is talking about the Brown hit right now...Mike Milbury: "That's just part of the game."
-
Pierre McGuire just said "It's a bad position for the Penguins to be in when they're two men down to the Caps. They have to stay at least 5 on 4...they'd prefer to be 5 on 5." I'm not making this up.

I'm not really with the sentiment that it was horribly late...watch it in real time, it happened fast. BUT he IS a professional athlete...he knows what he's doing. If you honestly think he didn't mean to hit Huds in the head with all his might, you're smoking crack...and crack is whack.

So when you put on a vulgar display of mental diarrhea like that change by the bench...you DO deserve to have it end like that...I mean, you definitely DON'T deserve the benefit of what would have been a real ugly non-call...sheesh. My standard is always as follows: "Would they have made said call in favor of Pittsburgh?" If the answer is "Definitely, yes," then I wanna see it called for anybody else.
-
Well that didn't take long...
-
Wicked hand-eye coordination there...
-
I agree that they were legit calls (with the exception of the PP late in the third), but I doubt the refs would have been so quick to put any other team 5-on-3 in OT in the playoffs. Who knows, the Flyers have no discipline, so I'm just hoping this isn't a trend that carries into the Pens other series...
-
Was it a goal that got disallowed or reviewed and overturned or...anything? Or was it just a total boner by the online scorers? I'm guessing the latter.
-
ESPN.com, Yahoo, and NHL.com all had St. Louis winning 1-0 on an unassisted McDonald goal at 4:19 and it stayed that way for like a half hour...now it's 0-0...I take it that was...wrong?
-
Guess somebody should call the Stanley Cup engraver and tell him to hold up...the Sharks just might not be a 100% lock for it.
-
Yeah, Babcock gave him a ton of praise last year after the very limited time he saw with us, and I really didn't see much to write home about. But Babs knew what he was saying, the dude is strong, poised, and really seems to know what he's doing out there. He's constantly breaking up plays and moving the puck right out, and looks as calm as a hindu cow doing it.
-
lmao...yeah, they won't let him keep that, but that's pretty freakin' funny...
-
Definitely...say what you will about Oz, but the guy CAN NOT be broken down.
-
WWWWWWWOOOOOOOOHHHHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I was in a computer programming class for most of the game, but I've been watching highlights for the last 20 minutes...that was thebomb.com...if Osgood can just hover consistently around the level he played tonight...we don't have nearly as much to worry about as we all thought. LET'S HOPE HE CAN!!! By the way, he just got REALLY defensive when asked about the criticism he's been gettin.

PS 2009 Round 1 Photoshop War: Columbus Blue Jackets

Is that really the only trophy that entire roster has? (With that team, at least...I know Williams and Commodore have won cups) That's especially weak considering he shared that honor with Iginla and Kovalchuk that year...- 687 replies

I just wish I had the software to participate...I priced PhotoShop the other day, and was blown away by how expensive it is...but as an enthusiastic spectator, I'm looking forward to this one! That is all.- 687 replies

Yeah, he doesn't look like he has good facial hair genes...like lidstrom...maybe if he starts feeding it now, he can have a crosby going in a couple weeks...that's probably all he can grow though...

I dunno, Ericsson looks kinda pretty to be an enforcer...he's gonna have to get a couple scars first...and a mustache.
