Well we owe the Sharks big for making our blunders less costly. They're hummin' it hard lately.
-
Is that with or without the goal that they're in the process of disallowing?
-
Well as much as I disagree with Savage, at least he wasn't Bush's shine-boy like the others....either way, dude, this isn't the place for it...the only way to settle it is with a tug-o-war...we'll hand out red and blue shirts and have at it...see who's right.

The point is this problem was a combination of Democratic insitnency on lower standards for lending, and the Rebulican free-marketeers' deregulation that made mortgage backed securities common practice...we're all in the suck together now, so blaming someone who's been in office for less than 2 months and calling him the socialist is nothing more than drinking the Limbaugh/Joe the Plumber kool-aid...and it's silly...go to the Lexis Nexis d-base and read look up REAL news on how it happened...start reading from newswire services like AP and UPI...stop getting your news from cable and ENTERTAINERS like Rush...

I don't know if you remember who made the biggest step toward socialism in our nation's history...the guy who DEMANDED that the first bank bailout be made? His name rhymed with BUSH...and compared to him, Clinton's presidency looked like the model for firscal conservatism...which is what your party is demanding right now...BARF...wait...why are we talking politics anyhow??? This is a SPORTS forum...

DUDE...I can barely type....I laughed so hard I'm crying and I think I peed a little...WOW...that made the night a TON better...THANK YOU.

What'd he say?? I tried to change the channel, but I can't figure our where I threw the remote...

Okay, so maybe they didn't do Osgood any favors by leaving him in for THAT long...they shoulda known he was falling apart out there...but those last few goals WERE stoppable. We're not asking for him to steal the game...but make a good stop once a period. Sheesh...and YES that's Downey's goal...third straight player of the game honors.
-
NO KIDDING...my nerves are already in bad shape with this crappy game. I hate that damn fish, it freaks me out.
-
That's a great point...and I actually hope so, because at this point (if he was serious), it's gone over like a lead balloon. I would hate to try to start a movement and get three pages full of comments that equate to "Go **** yourself." If that were me, I might never post here again.

Anyhow, this is ridiculous. They're both sports whether you like it or not. I once lived in Ipswitch, England, and they don't think ANYTHING is a sport other than soccer. The only sports I ever played were soccer, baseball, and hockey...soccer takes a lot of stanima and finesse, baseball takes strength, speed, and focus, and and hockey takes a mix of all of those. So sure lots of baseball players couldn't play hockey, but lots of hockey players couldn't throw a strike (much less at 90 mph with movement on it). So stop arguing about what's a sport and what isn't. The bottom line is, jokes are just that...jokes. I'll tell you what was disrespectful...American rich-folks creating NFL Europe and stuffing it down their throats, because they were just so positive it would dominate like it does here...that was cocky and ignorant, and that's why it tanked.

Right you are...I'm just stoked, cuz these are the kinda goals that meant so much in the playoffs last year.
-
DRAPES!!!!!!!!! What the hell? Our secondary scorers are pickin the right time to come alive...
-
Well right after they got off the phone with Holland, Bill Clement basically said it would be flat out retarded to take the Wings over the Sharks OR the Flames...hope Osgood wasn't watching either, cuz he really slagged him. What a silly prick.
-
Yeah, after two straight games having to leave with head trauma...I might give him another night off... Getting jarred one more good time without being sure he's okay could lead to some pretty unfortunate stuff. Like Franzen had last year during the playoffs.
-
Would you believe me if I said I knew that...and that I look a lot stupider right now than I really am? Or is it too late...cuz I totally knew that...
-
No kidding...I couldn't imagine sifting through a Keflavik phone book now that I'm toatlly Americanized...it would probably be like trying to find a needle in a stack of friggin' needles...
-
Wait...how could Kopecky have 3 points but be +2 in a shutout?
-
YUP! I was born in Iceland...it's flat out SHOCKING when someone knows something about that place...SHOCKING...
-
Well that IS how that ******* on ComCast Bay Area pronounces it...ugh...
-
Well...just so it's out in the open, I did say trade Filp...go ahead and throw cabbage at me...but they got overzealous on his contract extension and he's not living up...and if it's gonna cause problems with keeping Franzen or (possibly) Hossa...I dunno, maybe its worth it.

Looks like the Red Wings & the Sharks battling off the ice, Robert

I really don't like to get off topic, but I remember that...it was Sharp, and yeah...he tried to tuck down away from the overhands and got an uppercut...and his eyebrow exploded. It was nice. AND...I think we're overpaying Filp (it's like $3.5M or somewhere near it)...his skating is excellent, but his finishing is garbage-can...no killer instinct around the net. I don't know if it's Niel we need, but we need someone who can CLEAR the front of the net (too many teams take advantage of the Wings' softness), and if needed, beat some ass. I'd prefer it's a depth defenseman, though. If somethin happens to one of our top 6, Meech CANNOT fill in, and Chelios looked slow mentally dull in the playoffs last year. Either way, I think if we stand a chance of getting someone that would make an impact, the only sensible trade bait is Filp, due to our cap situation. -
I was watching this game out of pure boredom, but I've always hated players like Ott...he's always taking cheapshots, so when the fight broke out, before I knew what I was doing, I was getting excited for the Ducks (eww)...but the guy's a punk, and he fights like a puff (likely why he doesn't do much of it). The last time I saw him fight was a similar situation...he was taking liberties with the Sharks, and Thornton had enough and didn't give him a choice. Sure enough, Ott got beaten senseless and acted shocked that he was attacked. As far as the eye gouging goes...coulndn't see it, but thats pretty d**kless.

I can agree with that. Outside of the "We've got jobs" thing, which is WAY harsh, they're just super-psyched to be there. SUPER-psyched...and as rowdy as they are, I haven't had any problems with them being boligerant or psychotic. I've actually had quite a few way worse experiences with the fans in Dallas...especially Game 6 of the WCF last year when my girlfriend and I were running around the concourse with an inflatable Stanley Cup over our heads...I may have been asking for it, but I really drew quite a crowd of angry rednecks...full of beer and resentment.
-
Yeah, those folks are a silly people...Nash is one of the two places I have to go to see the Wings (Dallas being the other), and they all act like it's a monster truck smash'em'up...they've got clever little chants for every situation (except when they're losing and still chant "We're gonna' beat the RedWings"), and everybody in the arena seems to be on the same note. I'm sure its a blast for them, but I agree...last night was definitely the night for us to boo the Wings. Real fans have the ability to have a lover's quarrel with their team. Raffi and Lids we're the only defensemen to avoid a (-) last night...and Meech looked pathetic...so yeah...BOO... Now, let's just forget that game ever happened...
