Why can't they just do like they did with Ozzie/Conks and Ozzie/Dom? Granted, the quality of the current tandem isn't nearly as good as the previous two but it wouldn't hurt to try at this point.

I agree but I really think he wants to play in the Olympics so getting a game or two in beforehand would help him in that regard. Obviously I'd want him to rest but I can understand if he wanted to go.

Seeing these WC jerseys with correct lettering makes me upset Jersey City misled me when they said they'd do them like that too (it ended up being the regular font). I mean it's not a huge deal but I strive for authenticity if I can.

Worst for me was game three against the Flames in '04. It was the first game in Calgary since they beat Vancouver and the fans were obviously jacked (to this day I have never heard a louder crowd, and the reaction to Kiprusoff was literally deafening). Anyway, this was the first year of the SportChek zone so people were extra rowdy. Just to illustrate, a guy behind me tells me Stevie is his idol but he was too scared to show his allegiance. As soon as I walk in, the entire section boos. Wings score first and I am pelted with garbage and beer, with expletives and threats flying. Flames tie it and this guy is literally screaming in my face to the point the ushers come to me and ask if I want them to step in but I decline. Flames end up winning of course. It has gotten tamer and tamer to the point that most people don't even care anymore but that's Flames fans for you.

It's going to be embarrassing to see the Pens blow them out of the building on national TV Sunday.

It's not the injuries, the Wings are simply pathetic. Chance after chance to gain ground and for the third time in four games, a two goal lead is blown, this time with a minute and a half left. What a ******* joke. People here have suggested Babcock has lost the group and I'm starting to think that way as well. No goal scoring and zero heart. The energy line and Howie have been the lone bright spots but even Jimmy has been nothing more than decent of late.
