I think it would've been less likely that we would win in '98. But on that note, I'm sure that if it was in any way possible that I am not the only person who would directly give up the '98 Stanley Cup to reverse that accident.

Man, I really wanted to go when I saw that Rafalski was in Dearborn today. However, I couldn't really justify going after just buying the DVD on Amazon, and having to be at work in Warren at the same time.... other than the rafalaski and maltby signings that were advertised on the front page, how do you all find out where people are gonna be either signing or where the cup is gonna be? any advice would be GR-R-REATT! thanks

If Stuart won't take a pay cut, what do you say we sign him to a 3 year deal and send him back to Boston with a first and second round pick from 2009 for Zdeno Chara? This is kinda farfetched seeing that Chara makes $7.5 million per year and is Boston's captain... but wouldn't it be great to have Lidstrom & Rafalski on our first defensive pairing, and Chara & Kronwall on the second! Haha but I'm dreaming though.

I'm a big fan of Howard, he really needs to get time in the NHL now.. We already let Stefan Liv get away, who knows what kind of goalie he could've been for us. With a defense like the Red Wings have, he should be able to stay in every game.

oh yeah, it seems like every period now at least once or twice they call the faceoff back and redo it... maybe the league is retraining the refs on puck dropping and giving them practice in the SCF?

time to win the series on the road for the 4th time this year... anyone else think that this is because the wings like to win in their WHITE JERSEYS? that was a bad decision by the nhl a few years back to switch home and away colors..

It was very poor officiating, I agree. I was also very accepting of it for some time mainly because of the no-calls that I thought would keep the officiating from deciding the game... HOWEVER, then the refs made those terrible goalie interference calls and the hudler double-minor to show they weren't just gonna let the game play out. I am convinced that to an extent, NBA refs rig games by giving unfair advantages in calls to given players and teams. God forbid that we ever have to suspect this of the NHL's zebras.
