If we wanted, we could continue to call him our weak link. That reflects incredibly well on the rest of our team...

If there wasn't a thread about Helm when I got on here, I was going to start one. This kid is amazing, he works so hard every shift. His goal tonight was incredible, and after his missed breakaway attempts, that was great to see him finally light it up. I swear, once he can get the game to slow down for him while still being as fast as he tries to play now, we're going to see a lot less "Bambi on ice Helm" and a lot more "Pavel Bure Helm." Good stuff.

Who chose 2250? We could've definitely gone for 3000... or gone with the theme of doubling for 4000. Thread-starter gives us not enough credit, methinks.

hahahaha this is so dumb, but it made me laugh.

No, he would serve as the perfect Hudler replacement, not a 4th liner; if he's brought up, it would be beneficial to get him more playing time because he seems like a guy who would score for us.

2000!

sure started this one early...

Actually I went to a Tigers game last year at the end of April where they hit 5 home runs... quite entertaining, but not enough free Arby's.

No, of course not. I don't want Datsyuk or Zetterberg to play either if we know we'll win without them. Sheesh...

I really don't know why people are concerned what anyone else in the world thinks of us? If they have to complain/insult/feel threatened by us, it's obviously because they know we have something they haven't got.

Hey everyone this is my first attempt, hopefully if this offends you you're a ducks fan.

ESPN's Buccigross Det Ana Series Prediction
weGotTheCup89 replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
I trust Dr. Rahmani more than either of 'em. -
No. This conversation has happened several times.. There is a big difference on who will go to the hall of fame, and who will go in our rafters. Teams like Colorado can retire Ray Bourque if they want, but the only people on the team that will be retired are 1. Lidstrom and then 2. and 3. Pavel Datsyuk and Zetterberg might have a chance depending on how the next 10 years unfold.

See, this is why I like the Joe. No matter what your opinion of the actual arena is, you know that it's all about the product on the ice, not necessarily about the comfort factor of watching. The arena has great sightlines and can get loud (when people actually cheer). As long as the Wings play in the Joe, I know that hockey comes first and comfort is secondary.

I trust my final exams today to Pavel. You should too.

Nice idea, however this utterly disgusts me that you could associate in any manner the Red Wings to Ohio State. Yes, the colors match, but so do the Nazis colors..- 687 replies

what about the giant empty lots used as parking right now at the intersection of woodward and the fisher freeway? http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source...917040358744395 i'd like to really see the downtown area of detroit expanded; instead of keep building up the current downtown and leaving the rest of the city's land to its devices, why not branch out?

I remember going into the draft, analysts were saying that Hudler could be the second best forward prospect in the draft (after Rick Nash), but he might drop out of the top fifteen picks because of his size. Lo and behold, he dropped out of the top fifteen picks right to us at 58. Ever since we drafted him, I've been a fan and have looked for him to succeed, and at this point, I don't see what Hudler has left to prove. He puts up great numbers even on the lower lines, and he's a playmaker. I see him as our "Pocket Hossa," hopefully we can sign him to a 'pocket-sized' salary as well.
