ive been waiting YEARS for this topic to come up!!! JESUS I HATE OVECHKIN!!!!! every goal he scores is celebrated like it's his first ever, or the stanley cup winning goal. I have absolutly NO RESPECT for the individual. I'd much rather have a Brett Hull type guy who gave MAYBE a fist pump, then skated to the bench or faceoff circle. Ovechkin bangs the boards and flops around like a fish...just another way to show up your opponent.. this just proves how little respect the younger players have for other players...f*** OVECHKIN.

At intermission, im putting in my DVD of the Wings - Avs 1997 Brawl...maybe that will put me in a better mood for period 2

i'd say a 5 minute major is good enough. Backes wasn't seriously hurt, he wasn't cut or anything. You see much, much worse today that doesn't get called. If he gets suspended, i might blow a gasket... However with Bettman, im sort of expecting it.

do you really think the Wild would trade Backstrom to us for Filppula and a pick or 2? They would be absolutly retarted to make that move...

Well theres 5 in a row (SJ, PHX, CBJ, DAL, WSH). Those are all teams that could potentially be playoff foes. Is this just the mid-season hiccup because of injuries? or is this something bigger than we all think? What needs to happen to turn things around? -Line changes? -D-men? -Goalies? Whats gotta happen to end this streak of absolutly sucking?

2 things jump out at me from this GDT.... 1. Brad Boyes has 20 goals but is also -22 haha 2. David Backes leads their team with 136 PIM....the leaders on our team have 36... Maybe we need to get a little less pretty, and a little more gritty. 4-2 wings

hockeystreams.com is the most legit service out there. No blackouts, great service, great people. They often show some college hockey and minor hockey too! And when you have a problem with the stream, the guy "billy" is right there to help you fix the problem. Greatest 50$ i've ever spent on-line.

I know this wouldnt be possible without salary cap issues but it would be interesting to see how Abdelkader - Helm - Downey play...

I think we need to use GR more than we have in the past. Last week was a start with Downey, Leino and Abs, but seriously...Everybody keeps saying how great depth we have in this organization. WELL LETS FREAKING SEE IT!!! Pressure the guys like Kronwall and Lebda by bringing up Ericcson and others. Pressure Ozzie and Conks by bringing up Howard! I wouldn't mind seeing Ritola up here soon to put pressure on somebody else.. Make the current roster feel like it's not a right, but a privlege to play in the NHL.
