More than expected, less than deserved. Just glad that they're finally setting a precedent by actually suspending him. Although the precedent of "you can do this a couple times before getting suspended" is something that I hope will change. This is the first step in the right direction though.

We really don't need a new Osgood thread after every game. After wins it is always "why would anyone want to get rid of him" and a loss is always "we need a new goalie." Can we just have 1 thread/sticky, call it the Osgood ferris wheel, and watch as it goes up and down, around and around game after game?

Like how the Wings looked tonight, hopefully the last few games will get some momentum going and the Wings will go on to a bit more success in the coming weeks.

I think it's pretty clear Maltby is going to be in sportscasting or reporting when he's done with the Wings. With that little short and the post '08 cup interviews, he seems like a natural.

Pens just lost to the Worst team in the West. They're having a good streak to start, and while they appear to be the best or one of the best in the East, it's been proven many times that President's Trophies are not Stanley Cups.

The thing I like most about Howard is that he seems to be improving. The only goals Howard allowed were on the PP, and although he did give up some big rebounds he was able to do the most important thing: keep the puck out of the goal. I was one of the ones thinking we might need a replacement fairly early in the season but I think Howard is showing some potential. Lets hope he can keep it up, and hope Osgood gets a fire lit under him by being outplayed by the rookie (almost rookie? what exactly is Howard considered now?).
