Anyone else agree with tiff? I don't wanna be disappointed with my jersey!
-
I touched on this before in another thread, but I think I've decided on getting a Zetterberg jersey. It comes with an Assistant Captain's "A". We're all suspecting he'll be the next captain, which could happen as early as next year. If I wanted to change the "A" on my jersey to a "C", would there be a ton of visible little holes where the A was stitched in, or are the jersey's pretty good at not showing holes like that? I can get the Z jersey with or without an A, and if/once he becomes captain, I'd want to switch it over to a C, so I'm trying to figure out whether I should just order it without the A or not. Any people with Lidstrom jerseys who've done this?
-
That's where I'm planning on getting it from. I'm talking about places around Detroit that are good at adding the A or C on after the fact.
-
I'm gonna get a home red Franzen and eventually an away white Zetterberg.
-
I've decided to go with a Franzen home red after all. Maybe one day I'll get to add an A onto it.
-
If I were to get a Z jersey with no A on it and add the C later, where's a good place to have it added so it looks absolutely authentic?
-
Haha, that'd be awesome! How about 00 and get Dr. Rahmani on the back? Hahaha
-
Haha #43 Zettzen or #90 Franzberg Both sound like they could be real players...
-
I should probably go no A then. That way I can go either way when Lidstrom retires. If Z becomes captain, which is I'd guess almost certain, I can add the C, if not, I can add the A.
-
I wonder if I could get Zetterberg without the "A" on the front because I have a sneaking suspicion he'll be wearing a "C" before long! Has anyone replaced the A with a C on their Lidstrom jersey? Are the holes where the old letter was stitched in very visible?
-
Looking closely at the names/numbers on the jerseys from SportsK, they look slightly different from the actual jerseys. Does anyone else see this, or am I just crazy? It sort of looks like the letters for the names are a bit narrower than they should be, or am I just crazy?

I think I'm kind of debating between Franzen & Zetterberg at this point. Can anyone swing me in 1 direction or the other?

Any Los Angeles area wings fans know the presale code?

I got tickets for both the January and February games! Now I need to work on the Anaheim games. -
I got a few of my Red Wings championship newspapers from 1997 and 2008 laminated awhile back so they woudn't deteriorate since I didn't have the money to get them professionally framed, but now I went and had them framed and I'm thrilled with how they came out!
-
I hear ya man. I'm in California too and it's good to finally get a bit of home up on my walls!
-
The paper will fade and deteriorate rather quickly if you don't do something with them, especially the inside pages. Some of the inside pages from my 97 paper have faded to the point of being mostly unreadable...
-
Took them to Kinko's. It' does a great job of keeping oxygen off of the paper which will make them deteriorate at a much slower rate.

My friend in Chicago mentioned this deal to me a few days ago. I hope it doesn't come true.

LA is looking for a marquee player and has money to spend.

Per ESPN.com, it looks as if Kopy will test the open market come July 1st. His agent seems to think he can get him a lot more than Kenny offered. Also looks like Kenny and Hossa's camp are still in talks, but Kenny would trade Hossa's rights if it became apparent a deal won't get done. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?...e=lebrun_pierre

We're halfway to repeating as cup champions and many of us are rockin the playoff beards to support the Wings! Let's see everyone's mid-playoff beards! Here's to hoping my beard is MUCH longer before it gets shorter!!!
