I'm sure many of you have done the same thing, but I took the full color headline pages from the local newspapers from when the Wings won the Cup and had them laminated. I'll eventually get them framed with some really nice frames, but for now this will have to do, and will keep them in good condition. I've got papers from the 97, 98, and 08 cups, but couldn't find 02, so I'll have to track it down somewhere. I looked on eBay and found 1, but it's kind of expensive and not in that great of shape. If any of you have an extra one, or know where I can find one (I'm looking for the issue of The Det. News that reads "Stanley's Back!" with a pic of Scotty raising the cup). 1997 1998 2008

Ouch, that's gonna hurt then. I had to pick up a 3rd goalie since I was having minimum start problems last week, so that takes me down to 16 skaters for the time being...

With the announcement of Homer's surgery, will he be put on the IR at some point soon? I've got him on my fantasy team in a very deep league and i can't afford to drop him since he'll be ready by the time our league playoffs start and I'm in a very deep league. But at this time I can't do anything with him right now, so it'd be nice if I could throw him in my IR spot til he's healthy.

So I'm watching the Ducks v Rangers game and the FSN West guys put a little stat box up on the corner that was the players with the most power play assists since last year or something and they were so proud to say that Ryan Getzlaf was #1, but #2 was Detroit's Nicklas Lindstrom... Lindstrom... Come on...

Throw in all of Florida's draft picks for the next 5 years and it might start to look like a good trade...

That's correct. There is no GWG when the game goes to a shootout and any saves/goals made by goalies has no effect on their stats.

Does anyone have a high-res pic of all of the wings with the banner when they posed with it before it rose?

Does anyone know where I can find the Red Wings official font? I need to type "2007-2008 Stanley Cup Champions!" in that font. I know there are websites that have thousands upon thousands of fonts, but I haven't the slightest clue where the Wings' particular font might be found... It's the same as this: Apparently the font is, or is very close to "ITC Bookman". Everyone look in your word processors and see if you have it. It's pretty unlikely though... ITC Bookman - The Red Wing's font!

We should get a bunch of people to go in on buying it.

I work for a company that makes custom valve covers for hot rods and muscle cars and I decided to make my mom a custom Red Wings valve cover for her office. It'll never go on a car, but it'll be a good reminder for her that I'm finaly doing something with my life. So I'm looking for as high-resolution as anyone can find of the traditional "Detroit Red Wings" script so that I can have it laser-engraved onto the cover. I'm also going to laser-engrave the winged wheel onto the breather.

I already have a big image of the winged wheel. I just need the script.

I had found that one before, I need it bigger than that.

A bunch of friends and I are doing a fantasy hockey league this year and here's my team. I went HEAVY on goalies, taking goalies with my first 2 picks as they account for roughly 10% of the team, but 40% of the fantasy scoring. We have 16 teams in our league, so we had to draft relatively deep, but I'm pretty happy with my team. Gotta hope Stamkos ends up being a phenom and Cheechoo comes back to form. I love Dom, but sorry, I don't feel he should have his Jersey retired here. They can do it in Buffalo though. I'd be all for Ozzy having his retired though!
