Nope, Franzen. Got it from SportsK after all of you gave it so much praise and I'm really happy with it! My parents actually gave me a decent chunk of money for Xmas as well which came from my Grandma's inheritance so I may add another jersey to the fold, dunno yet though.

Merry Christmas to all! I hope everyone has a fantastic day with their family and friends! I finally got a Wings jersey after MANY years of being a huge fan! Also taking my mom to the game tomorrow as part of her gift from me!

So I'm laying in bed about ready to fall asleep and on comes a replay of Steve Yzerman's banner raising ceremony on FSN. It's safe to say I'm not going to bed anytime soon...

Backstrom has been playing really well as of late and I have him on my fantasy team. I hope this won't throw him off too much.

I'd say it'd be worse since that would be trading your star player to another team in your division!

When I was a kid, we always had a really traditional Polish meal for big family get togethers (X-Mas, etc), but my Grandparents have since passed away and the parents and kids have decided to change the tradition up so now every Christmas we do a combo of Bate's Burgers and Pizza (either Buddy's or Jet's). There's a big battle going on in the fam about which place to get Pizza from. I vote Jet's!

I'm looking to get a Griffins jersey, and I want to get it with the name and number of someone who played in GR and made a considerable impact there. Is there a list anywhere of all the Griffins that have made it up to the A squad over the years?

While the Wings have always, and will always be my team, since moving from Detroit to LA, I've become a Kings fan (for 78 games a year at least). They're a fun team to watch, full of great young talent, and it's really starting to pay off as the results speak for themselves. The thing is though, no on in LA gives a crap about them, half the city don't even know they exist. I went to the Del Amo mall near my house (one of the largest malls in America) and went to every store that might have some sort of sports memorabilia or apparel and there was not 1 piece of hockey stuff. It pains me to think a market that has 2 teams likely has a quarter the number of fans as Detroit with 1 team, but I guess thats the way it goes. I dunno if they'll have enough to make it into the playoffs, but I hope they do (although definitely not if it's at the Wings expense).

So realistically, how many Wings can we expect to be playing in the games? Here's my prospective list, although I'd rather see fewer than this many players go as we're already hurt badly enough and the rest would definitely be welcomed. I'm dissapointed at his lack of production. I picked him up on my fantasy team and he's been a big bust. He's been good defensively, but fantasy is all about production, and he's decidedly down compared to previously years.

I'm planning on asking for a Jersey for Christmas and I cant decide who I want to get on it. I want someone that I'll get some use out of, so not someone who will retire soon, or who may be traded/sign with someone else. I'd kind of like to get someone a bit different though. Everyone has Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, etc. I was thinking maybe Franzen or Cleary, or maybe Z since he'll be here forever, even though everyone has it. Any thoughts?

If you're looking at the ice and the Hockeytown logo at center ice is facing you, which side do the Wings shoot on twice? I'm looking at getting my mom some tickets for Christmas and I'd wanna be on the side they shoot on twice.

I've been emailing back and forth with the guy from SportsK and based on our convos, I've decided to go with the replica jersey (even the guy selling them says he'd rather have the cheaper one). I'm going with a Franzen home Red!

For anyne with an Authentic, does the fight strap annoy you while you're wearing it? Could the FS be removed?

Are the ones for sale on SportsK any different than the ones sold on NHL.com and other places for much more money? Also, can anyone tell me if there's a difference in how the authentics and replicas fit? I tried a replica on today and wasn't terribly thrilled with the quality, but it wasn't horrible either. Also, are the authentics made of a different material? Will the "fight strap" on the authentic one get in the way of wearing the jersey as clothing? Can someone post a pic of the fight strap?

Do any SoCallers know any good places in LA to buy hockey gear? I wanna go try on jerseys to figure out what size I need and whether or not to spend the extra money on the authentic. Obviously you can find this stuff at the Staples and Honda Centers, but does anyone know any other spots (preferrably in the South Bay) that have a good selection of hockey merch???
