Losing the 3 goal lead was pathetic, but we still deserved to win (with 15 skaters). Why couldn't atleast one of those 2 posts go in? We really miss Holmstrom on the PP. We really miss some consistency on the defense. Stuart and Ericsson were beyond awful today. Every time they were out there it felt as though they were lucky if they made it off the ice without allowing a goal. That 2nd Kings goal was not good by Howard. Terrible timing to make the biggest mistake of your NHL career. Not going to blame the loss on him though. Some positives: Hank and Pavel looked great. Lidstrom and Rafalski were +3 and played fantastic. Only 3 players got injured. Okay, that last one was a joke, I couldn't come up with any more positives.

He was the finnish league's top scorer and then had 9 points in 14 games last season with the Wings, along with a solid AHL season. That is not showing potential? It's just that his value has gone downhill from the first day of this season and is at it's very lowest point right now. I don't see how you can think it was a steal for us. What did we steal? Tollefsen that is on waivers and will either get picked up by someone else or sent to Grand Rapids. A 5th in 2011, that may one day, many years into the future, turn into a NHL player, but probably not turn into anything. This was better than waiving him, but in no way was it a "steal". You think Holland would have made this move if we weren't forced to get rid of salary?

His trade value is close to zero right now.. it's unfortunate. I would be okay with losing Leino for a 2nd or even a 3rd round pick. But a 5th is a 0.01% chance of turning into something worthwile, even with the Wings history of turning those late picks into stars.

Tollefsen? Disappointing. Leino has sucked this year but I still believe he can become a good player..

Oh how I wish the Wings could put together a 10+ winning streak. Hell I'd be happy with a 4-5 game streak. Caps are looking scary. It's like they can score at will. They're also getting good goaltending from Theodore and from Varlamov before he got injured. Defensively they have problems and I think that might be their downfall when it comes to close playoff games. Anything is better than the Pens making it to the finals again though. Caps and Devils are the only ones I see as a threat so I hope they don't choke.

Man that's insane. Haven't seen the Leafs play that good all season, they really out-worked the Devils and locked down their lead.. until the last couple of minutes when they completely fell apart and lost. Not even the Wings can fail that hard.
