Keep quiet and work on your 5-hole, Ozzie.
-
Probably rather see Helm than Cleary, but there's atleast 4-5 guys that should shoot before either of them.
-
Eaves. He's awesome and I hope we keep him around. Honorable mention for Miller.
-
Kaberle isn't strong enough defensively to replace Lidstrom. He would be a good replacement for Rafalski however. Also I don't know if Kaberle's value is that low, he has 41 points in 50 games.
-
I've said it for a while, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Lids retire after this season. I just hope we make the playoffs so that his streak isn't broken, and also I hope he can get either (or both) an Olympic Gold or a Cup if this is indeed his last season. And if Zetterberg doesn't get the C when Lids calls it quits I will be very surprised.

Come on, if we're gonna have a thread for a fight we need a thread for this too: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> I just about lost my s*** when he did it. Pavel is crazy, and I like it.

Anyone see the top 10 plays of the week on TSN? Like 5 of them involved the Red Wings, but Pavel's goal was too low and of course they chose an unspectacular Crosby goal as no1.
-
We kinda got robbed out of 2 points this weekend and this is one of those games where we need to get those points back. Washington is playing good but I feel if we play like we did against the Hawks we will win. 5-3 Wings.
-
Anyone who thinks Tatar is ready for the NHL needs their head checked. If we were in the position the Leafs are in, yeah maybe he would get a chance. But we're not that desperate, especially not now that we're getting bodies back.
-
Hm, 10 out of 18. Not terrible, but I thought I would do better this week.
-
I see Kings and Wings getting 2-3 points each from their two games during the week, and then it will obviously come down to who wins Saturday. Will be a big game. Can the Wings do it? Yes. But the important thing is we keep up with them.
-
I think he'll be back pretty soon. Last I read about him he was feeling better and was hoping to start pushing it more during next week and hopefully be back playing shortly after that. So 2 weeks I'd say at most. Offensively he was easily our best d-man. Defensively he was probably 3rd behind Stuart and Lids.

You won't find a bigger swedish-homer and Linus Omark fan than me, but Pav's goal is 10x sicker.
-
You haven't seen enough sick dekes and goals from Pav to believe he knows what he's doing? Actually it almost looks like he's going for his signature Turco-move but changes it up last second. But I think he was planning it, fake that he's going for the signature move and make the goalie look like a fool YET AGAIN.

Best of the year so far imo. Especially that OT, it was the closest thing to playoff hockey you will get in January. True, but this was one of those games that made me feel really confident about the team and not care so much that were x number of points away from x'th place in the conference. Lidstrom is starting to produce, Datsyuk and Hank looked unbelievable, Eaves continues to impress etc. The Hawks are the best team in the league and we should have won this game. I don't think anyone watching this game can disagree that the Wings are a playoff team, even without Kronwall, Franzen and Holmstrom.
-
Hank had a pretty good wrister in the crossbar. I remember Pavel scoring off a wrister a few shooutouts ago too. Howard made a bunch of great saves in the shootout against Dallas yesterday. I don't think he's too bad at SO's. It's possible that by the time we got to the SO against the Hawks he was getting tired.
-
Yes Toews, Hossa and Sharp all had routine wrist shots Or maybe, just maybe, they're really good in the shootout and any goalie will have trouble stopping them??
-
Adress the errors in this game? You mean playing as good or better than the opponent and deserving to win? Only thing they need to fix is they need to score on their breakaways and quality scoring chances.
-
He made some great saves and kept us in the game at times. The NBC guys heaped praise on him. This board makes me depressed, I can't believe you guys sometimes.
-
I don't even get excited when we get a breakaway and I see that it's Cleary. That's how much I know that he won't score. Definitely agree that he should be one of the top guys in the shootout. I'd probably rather see Filppula, Abdelkader, Eaves and Miller before Cleary. Certainly Franzen when he gets back.
-
...what!? Howard was awesome, don't know what game you watched.
-
Man, we so deserved more than 2 points out of these games against Dallas and Chicago. Especially tonight. Fantastic game though, one of the most fun of the year. All the Hank and Pavel hate recently looks ******* silly after tonight. What a game by that top line, and that SO goal by Pavel.. yeah I know Linus Omark did it first, but that was in a nothing game against some unknown Swiss goalie. This was in an NHL game against one of the top goalies of the league this season. Amazing. I feel confident about this team.
-
The way people talk about Quincey you would think he's a perennial Norris candidate or something. People need to learn to let things go.
-
My god Pierre is annoying.
-
softie? that was a great play.
