Have you watched Malkin this year? Joe Thornton, Henrik Sedin, Marian Gaborik, Dany Heatley and others are more deserving of being in the "big 3" than he is this year. And once again, when Malkin is not scoring points is absolutely useless out there. This thread is full of suck. Datsyuk has underperformed but jesus christ, he's still the most complete player in the league when he wants to be. I've seen it several games this season, how he can completely own every facet of the game (including shutting Ovechkin down). It's just been rare, but that doesn't mean he will never pick it up again and start producing like we know he can. This is the first time in a bunch of years he's really had a long slump, he's been extremely consistant.

It's confirmed: Western Conference teams (except the Wings) can't lose against the Eastern Conference. Seriously how about some help from Boston, Washington, New Jersey, anyone?? I can promise you that Pittsburgh will lose against Vancouver later tonight as well. f*** you East, you suck.

I can't tell if you're being serious or not, but 1: Datsyuk is getting points (just not as many as we'd like) and 2: Datsyuk does a hell of a lot more good when not scoring points than Ovechking or Heatley does.

Zetterberg had 2 assists tonight and looked pretty good to me. He had a stretch of games before getting injured when he was amazing imo, despite not putting up huge numbers. Datsyuk is really underperforming though. Tonight he looked completely out of it. A game here and there where he looks great makes it difficult for me to say it's a nagging injury or something like that. I think it's just in his head, he doesn't have that "fire" this year. Maybe he's focusing on the Olympics. Also I have to mention that a guy like Malkin only has 43 points in 42 games. Yes it's better than Pavel but not by much, especially if you look at all the things Pav does to be useful even when he's not scoring. Even superstars underperform sometimes..

Don't know how you can be sure when the only angles in which you could see the puck had it lying on the line, seemingly not having any more momentum towards the back of the net. Seemed like a pretty clear cut "no goal" to me.

When it comes to the Wings, the refs and the war room apparantly make rules up as they go along. This was either a case of Ott having intent to score (thus it's a goal), or the so called 50-50 rule (in which the war-room flips a coin to see whether it's a goal or not).

What happened to "if it's not conclusive"?? Did Toronto think they knew better than the ref who was 2 inches away from the puck and waved it off like crazy? BULLs***. Every point is so huge. However, Wings played pretty bad in the last 2 periods and OT, and their SO attempts were weak.

Happy to get a point after that 3rd period. Now pull it together and get the extra on Wings!

Missed the first couple of minutes but Wings look good. Datyuk and Zetterberg both look like their confidence is pretty low, but Bert is awesome and Lidstrom seems to be finding his offensive game more and more. Keep it up Wings.

If only we had a goalie that was so good that the other team just took weak shots and then skated back to their own zone because they knew going to the net is pointless.
