If you look at the highlights on TSN.ca they have it. It's a pretty big ass distracting laser and the guy using it should never be allowed into a hockey arena again.
-
Bergfors is a dark horse. 27 points in 42 games and a -3 rating. He'd probably be the point leader among rookies if the Devils had played as many games as the Avs and Isles.
-
Lidstrom won't announce future plans till after season

True, he would also cost us about 2 mil more towards the cap if we would have signed him instead. Weird how better, more proven players cost more, huh? -
Haha, I really hope they do a piece on Abby and Helm where they follow them around on a road-trip or something
-
It would have been funny if it was New Jersey who were up 3-0. "Game postponed due to light(n)ing failure"
-
I guess that's the only way to do it, but damn my x2 game worked perfectly Someone else had the idea that you should make it a set game, like take the biggest matchup and make it the "Game Of The Weekend". That could be fun. Have it be like Chicago-San Jose, Washington-Pittsburgh, those kinds of games. It's probably a little bit easier and people won't forget to add a "x2", since all they have to do is pick a winner like usual.
-
Noticed a lot of people picked New Jersey over Tampa as their X2. They'll be happy to see Tampa up 3-0 after half the game
-
Did you tell her that it's okay, even Cindy Crosby was afraid of Z for awhile?
-
Hmm I think we might have to throw in a back of pucks and a 3rd rounder. But I'd probably do it. However, as usual Holland does nothing.
-
There's no backup I'd rather have than Ozzie. What if Howard plays great up until the 1st round of the playoffs and then chokes? Who do you want to put in for Game 3 when the Wings are down 2-0?
-
They just need to bash it into the refs' heads that if it is a 50/50 situation as to whether it's interference or not, DON'T CALL IT. It doesn't feel like more than 25% of the penalties they call in todays NHL should be penalties. It's almost like the players know what they are allowed to do, but the refs don't (sounds weird I know). One thing that comes to mind when I hear that scoring is down is: Where are breakaways in today's game? Am I wrong or does it feel like there's almost never a 5-on-5 breakaway anymore?
-
I like winning games we don't deserve to win better than losing games we deserve to win (which has happened a fair bit this season). But that's just me, other people like putting a negative spin on everything in order to get attention.

No, YOU need to watch a lot of other teams. No star player dominates every game. Datsyuk can take over games and dominate them, he just hasn't done it a lot this season (only like 2 or 3 games that I can think of). Did you not watch him last season? He was one of the leagues most dominating players. And if you had watched a lot of other teams you would know that most other superstars don't play nearly as well defensively, on the PK or on faceoffs like Datsyuk does. Zetterberg doesn't have the same ability to take over games, but he's consistantly hard-working and useful. Malkin? One of the more inconsistant superstars. Unbelievably one game, invisible the next. And that's even when he's having a good season, this year he's invisible more than he's unbelievable. Ovechkin and Crosby? Okay, two of the most consistantly dominating players in the league today. But even they have games where they get nothing done. Nash? He's a little bit overrated. Good player but seems to be a bit streaky and he's awful on the defensive side. Parise? Great player. Reminds me of a more speedy Zetterberg, with a little bit more a scoring touch as well. I don't think he dominates games in the same way Ovie, Crosby, Malkin and Datsyuk does when they're on their game, but he's always good.

To be honest though, did anyone really expect Homer to get through the season without injury? Better a bruised foot than a groin/back/knee/shoulder issue. But why can't he wear those feet protectors when he knows he'll stand in front of shots all day long?
-
3-4 weeks? Well he should be well rested for the Olympics atleast. Lol, is there anyone on Team Sweden that is healthy at the moment? good thing is we're getting more players back than we're losing. Bad thing is f*** THIS SEASON.

West coast road-trip FTL. Will be watching the game when I wake up. This is an important one, I think the team will get a huge boost from Clears and Hank coming back and take it 6-2.

some of the goals I would choose have already been mentioned; such as Datsyuk on Turco, Dats on the pass by Hank, Hanks spin-o-rama, McCarty against Philly, etc; so I'll pick some other favs of mine that haven't been mentioned: 5. Forsberg owns the Flames: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> Look at the way he fights off the defender behind the net. That would have been an obvious penalty in today's game, but not back then. Perfect showcase of Forsberg's combination of strenght and skill. 4. Zetterberg against the Oilers in the 06 playoffs: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> Might not look like that much of a goal to some, but the way he pokes the puck past the defender is just brilliant. 3. Datsyuk against Chicago last year: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> I think that was the moment I realized what a damn all-star team we were last season. 2. Dan Cleary, game 7 against the Ducks: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> This is the best playoffs series I've ever watched. Not a beautiful goal by any means but it was just SO huge and one of my best moments ever watching hockey. 1. Hank's Cup winning goal in 08: name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350" /> Funny, and it lead to the only Red Wings cup victory that I've been able to see live.

I was surprised by him, he looked a lot more NHL ready than I thought he would. Also has more skill than I expected. Some really nice moves and he's patient and careful with the puck, not just throwing it away. If we have to drop Miller when guys get healthy, Ritola should be able to perform on the same level as him when called upon.
-
Great news. But I will be scared everytime either of them gets any physical contact that they'll bust their shoulder up again. Hope they're 100%. Also, in the situation the Wings are in right now they can't afford to be nice and respectful to Ozzie. The starting job is Howard's to lose, atleast for the moment.

Does anyone else not care when we get a PP anymore?
dat's sick replied to FunkedUp's topic in General
So did this just come out of nowhere or what? Pavel seemed happy enough last season and we didn't have more russians around then. I'm not sure why his wife shouldn't be able to "gossip and go shopping" with the wives of the other players. Russians can only hang out with other russians? I don't buy it. Not saying personal issues couldn't have anything to do with Pav's play this year, but I doubt it's as easy as getting another russian player+wife here and suddenly it will turn things around. -
That would be so damn scary to experience. Really hope he makes a full recovery.
-
Great game and thank ******* god the US won.

My surprise is enormous that a weak penalty call leads to Canada getting back into the game. Could never, ever have seen it coming.
