Agreed, but I'm really happy that he's been playing well for a while now. I've gone from thinking he would surely be gone before the season was over, to actually having more confidence in him than in Ozzie.

omg what world do you live in where players like Zetterberg can be easily drafted every other year without having a top 5 or even a top 20 pick? It's so incredibly rare that you manage to find a player like that so late in the draft. Same goes for Datsyuk. Hell, you can have a top 10 pick 10 years in a row and still not find a Datsyuk or Zetterberg. Look at the biggest current superstars, Malkin, Crosby, Ovechkin. Does the word Number 1 pick mean anything to you? Gaborik was drafted 3rd overall. And Franzen has been one of the best goalscorers in the league during the last 2 years, especially in the playoffs where it matters the most. Yes, he's not Ovechkin, but you don't get an Ovechkin caliber player if you don't finish last, win the draft lottery, and you're lucky enough that there's actually that good of a prospect that year. Tatar will most likely not become an Art Ross, Hart Trophy, 100+ points player. The biggest reasons being that he doesn't have great size or speed. But I would say he definitely has potential to become a fair bit better than Hudler. You should be happy atleast that we have a prospect that looks so interesting, not complain that we don't have a bunch of Gaboriks hanging around in Grand Rapids.

Looks similar to his hit on Gonchar last year. This time around there has to be a suspension, although Ovie probably suspended himself in a way since he'll likely be out injured for a while.

Ovechkin just got a game misconduct for a knee-to-knee hit.

Datsyuk has had 30+ goals 2 years in a row.. sure he is mainly a playmaker, sure he has 2 pylons to carry around, but did you not watch him last year? He doesn't need much help out there when he is himself.

I never cease to be amazed by Helm's speed and complete inability to shoot anywhere except wide or in the chest of the goalie. If he could just borrow Franzen's scoring touch while he's out, we'd be set.

The super-hyped Jonas Gustavsson is pretty much the starter for Toronto and he has as bad or even worse rebound control. 9 out of 10 young goalies have bad rebound control. Lately though Howard has been making the 1st saves and has been calm in the crease instead of scrambling around getting out of position. Really like his play in his last 4 or 5 starts.

Nah, it's the 4th line that is promoted to the 1st line along with leino.

You're gonna be sorry when Leino wins the Conn Smythe in June and invites everyone except you to his private sauna party in Finland with all the hot finnish women he knows.

Leino doesn't have a Hart Trophy, an Art Ross, a couple of Cups and a 5 mile long list of injuries.

Well let's just play with three 3rd lines and one 4th because right now there are not a lot of players deserving of top 6 minutes. Leino needs to find a home somewhere. He's not a big physical grinder, he shouldn't be put in that role. Datsyuk needs someone that can convert on his passes, Leino has more of a scoring touch than Bert.
