Yes that was an amazing 2 feet pass to Zetterberg, who had to dig it out of his feet btw. I've always liked Rafalski but this season his passing game has been terrible, his defensive zone play has been less than stellar, and he has been weaker than usual on the point. Stuart, Kronner and Lidstrom have all been much better than him.

Lidstrom/Rafalski on the ice for both goals against. That doesn't happen often. But Rafalski is playing the worst hockey imaginable. And I know we had 9 and 7 goal games recently, but it's so apparant that we don't have much scoring depth. The Helm line was great but none of them have anything close to a scoring touch. Bertuzzi is lost out there, he looks like he forgot how to score. Holmstrom had a hot start but has cooled off and since that line doesn't get much offensive pressure he is not very effective. Zetterberg is awesome, but he can't have a hat-trick every night. I'm looking for Leino to step his game up another notch, even though he's been pretty good since he was moved up to that line. Panthers had no business winning this game. But the Wings had no business only scoring 1 goal on all those chances.

That's pretty pathetic from the fans, but a player has to be smarter than to just throw it in there.. what you do is you point at the person you're giving it to, presumably the cutest, youngest kid there, and you make sure no one else gets to the stick.

I can't believe they still get these things wrong with video review.. I'd really like to know what they were watching over there in Toronto.. probably a re-run of the last game the Leafs won, all they heard was that a review was needed on a Wings goal and they called and said "no goal, goalie interference. what holmstrom wasn't on the ice? well high-sticking then. franzen wasn't out there either? well just say the whistle was blown or something.." (for the record, I don't believe in a conspiracy)

Zetterberg's line, Lidstrom, Kronwall and Howard were good tonight. The rest were either mediocre or bad. Still, who cares? We had a 2-2 hockey game and a great shot at getting atleast 1 point. Nothing more can be said about the refs than has already been said, but I really hope they get suspended or something..

I wish we could play Hank, Cleary and Leino non-stop the entire game. Keep all those other pesky lines off the ice. edit: lol my stream is way behind, I wrote that before the goal. Z is the s***.

His decision-making is soooo bad. When he should pass, he shoots. When he needs to go to the net, he peels off. Talk about a ball-and-chain that Datsyuk has to carry.

Cleary always does the same thing on breakaways.. rarely works. So far Zetterberg is awesome, but little else is looking good. Babs need to wake them up in the intermission.

I hope the Hawks focus on keeping Keith and kinda "forget" about Hjalmarsson so the Wings can steal him... his favorite player growing up was Lidstrom, and I think if he got a season or two with him as his mentor he would turn into a fantastic d-man, not that he isn't already on his way to becoming one.

Dallas is much like Anaheim in that even when they seem to be struggling they always manage to put up their A game against the Wings. This is an important game though. Wings really need to win to keep within striking distance of the division lead. Hawks won't be getting worse when they got Hossa, so any head-start we give them right now will be hard to take back. Wings take this one 3-2 in OT. Datsyuk with 2, Curly Fries with 1.
