It's so good seeing Pavel and Hank's names next to eachother. Hope this is an indication that Helm returning doesn't mean those 2 top lines are going to be messed with. They looked great against the Caps, but they're gonna need to be even better offensively against Buffalo. Miller has been playing out of his mind. Did you just write their name in the wrong places or do you honestly seriously think Williams of all people should center a line with excellent centers Helm and Abby playing the wings?

Doubt it. A lot of the time it works fine, most of last season I had no issues at all. The other day I had two games on at the same time. Both HD streams, one working perfectly and the other buffering and freezing constantly (every couple of minutes). So it must be something with the streams or the site.

games take a long time to download from nhltorrents, atleast in my experience, so I do think it's a plus to just be able to quickly stream old games. it's just easier and you don't have to use up disc space. I actually haven't streamed any of the Wings regular season games yet (watched 2 in stockholm, 1 archived and 1 on viasat), but most other games I've tried to watch have had a ton of buffering and freezes. And not just on HD, but on HQ as well. I know it's not my internet and I'm definitely not the only one who has had issues. Even increasing the buffer to like 30 seconds or more didn't help.

I would have recommended Hockeystreams a few months ago, but so far this season it's been ******* terrible. And the people running it never seem to want to believe that anything is wrong with the site. Even if 50 people are all saying they have the same issues with a stream, they keep insisting the problem is on the user end. I'd stay away from it if I was you. Sadly I've paid for like 6 months of it.. :/ Atleast they have archives, that's a very good feature.

When he was first hailed as "The Next Forsberg" in swedish media I was laughing. I saw a talented kid who didn't have the physical strenght or speed to really become a star in the NHL. He's still not as complete a player as Forsberg was, but he's taken some giant leaps during his short time in the NHL. What I'm most impressed by is that he never, ever seems to run out of time with the puck. He never looks stressed and never needs to just throw away a puck.He's amazing at creating time and space for himself, which is why he's done so well without having blazing speed or being a very physical guy (though he's improving in both those regards). He might actually be the best playmaker in the league. I know people are going to disagree with me on that, but he's definitely up there. And his defensive play is coming along. Compared to Ovechkin and Semin he is in another league in that regard. All he needs to do is develop more of a scoring touch and he could win the Art Ross.

Is there anywhere to watch this online?

Wasn't able to watch the game, but it seems like the Wings showed exactly what I was hoping for. Hopefully those 2 performances against the Blues had more to do with nerves or being distracted by all the commotion of going to Sweden than actually being indicative of what the season will look like. Now I just hope they can put together 60 solid minutes against the Caps too. The defense and goaltending will have to be at it's best to stop Ovie & Co. Will be watching the game with a buddy of mine who is a die-hard Caps fan, so the stakes are high. Oh, and what's up with Draper so far? Bounce back year? He looked good against the Blues and on that goal yesterday he looked like Ovechkin

You can't compare Hank to Ovie. They are completely different players, with completely different skill-sets. Hank does a lot of things better than Ovechkin, but when it comes to being flashy no one in the league comes close to Ovie. Personally I'm starting to feel just as tired of hearing about Ovechkin as I am of hearing about Crosby. People need to realize there are other great players in the league, whether their name is Getzlaf, Parise, Datsyuk, Malkin, Backstrom, Iginla or Kovalchuk. It's like every time Ovechkin scores it's the most beautiful goal ever, and every time he makes a deke it's insane, every time he makes a pass it's...oh, wait, he never passes.

Yeah several of Washington's goals came off some really shaky defense by the Flyers. Emery didn't look too impressive either.

there's been some horrible defense and goaltending these first couple of games, at the same time as many stars have started out hot.

Will be watching Toronto-Ottawa. Really interested in seeing how the Monster does, as well as Erik Karlsson in the Sens. Obviously I'll keep an eye on the Capitals game too.

I'd kill to have Lilja back right about now. But the way Lebda played in the 2 games against the Blues, Meech can't possibly do any worse.
