Homer should probably be on the 4th line and the 1st PP unit. But I also want the ZDH line to reunite and play together a full season. I'd say give Homer the chance on that top line, and if he seems to be a burden on Pav and Hank put Cleary up there instead and let Homer play less minutes and keep him fresh for the PP's and the playoffs.

Yep. I completely understand why Hudler is feeling this way. He deserved more chances on the top 2 lines.

I just think they have worse depth than Canada or Sweden. Especially if you take defense/goaltending in consideration, along with things like the balance of the team (scorers, grinders, defensive specialists etc). And about Semin: I think he's inconsistant because he can be completely invisible one game, only to score 4 points the next. And I'm not basing it only on the playoffs, the Capitals are one of the teams I follow the closest so I've seen a lot of their games. He's not a player that is very useful for anything except scoring points, so I guess that's why it's more noticable when he has off-games. He is extremely talented though.

Holland can't put a gun to someone's head and force them to sign for the Wings. Maybe Prospal just didn't want to play for the Wings? Maybe he wants to be on a team where he's guaranteed to be in the top 6 and on the PP.

Good for NYR, they need some offense that isn't disgustingly overpaid.

Larsson played better than Howard in the AHL last year, and he played 2 seasons in the SEL (not a junior league) before coming over. If Howard wasn't out of AHL options I'd be willing to bet Larsson would be the guy that got to start the year as Ozzie's backup. It kinda depends on how things play out though. If Ozzie plays convincingly but Howard completely fails, I'd say there's a 99% chance that Larsson is brought up. If however Ozzie struggles as well, I could see them going after a veteran goalie.

If Howard doesn't work out, Larsson will get the backup job instead. That's all there is to it.

Funny, Leino is one of the big reasons I'm looking forward to the season. I think he will make people forget about Hudler.

Kovalev is lazy, Semin is inconsistant, Morozov is only a star in Russia, Frolov had less goals and points than Loui Eriksson. Fedorov on a 4th line maybe isn't a weakness, but he's getting up there in age and I'm not sure he brings a whole heck of a lot more than what someone like Sammy Pahlsson brings at this point.

As much as I hate pictures of or stories about the Penguins cup win, that is pretty cool. Lucky guy. If I had pictures like that with the Red Wings, I'd carry them around all the time too, showing them to anyone and everyone. Although I agree with LeftWinger, there should be some security even in situations like that.

I remember thinking Trevor Kidd's mask was the coolest thing ever when I was a kid. Now that I'm older I'm more into simple designs. Not necessarily as simple as Ozzie's (though I like his helmet style), but Brodeur's is nice.
