I wouldn't be surprised if our goalie tandem come spring is Ozzie/Larsson with Pearce/McCollum in GR. I think Larsson is more ready than Howard is.

For some players 31 might be the beginning of the end, but Pavel isn't some players. He's just getting better and better, and I think he's got many great years left in him. Happy Birthday man!

did you see the vid I posted? I honestly don't understand where he got the reputation of being a diver. He played the game like it's supposed to be played, with speed, toughness and skill.

The Canucks have a 14 game roadtrip. Stop complaining. Besides, I don't know why everyone thinks the trip to Sweden is going to exhaust the team so much. It's a few extra hours on a plane for them, and they have like 4-5 days until their first game after coming back.

Just thinking about it makes me sad. That would indeed have been something else. It's good to hear this Callahan guy has potential to be a Wing one day, but I'm more interested in hearing about guys like Ferraro and Tatar who are hopefully not that many years off from making the team.

I still think there is a chance Forsberg returns to the NHL. It's a very, very small chance, but until he's given a definite "NO" I'm going to continue believing in a real comeback. Even on one foot he can still outplay 95% of the players in the NHL. But as others mentioned, him coming to the Wings is out of the question. We don't have the cap space (even though I don't think he'd ask for much money to be honest) and there's the whole rivalry thing. And because no Forsberg thread is complete without evidence of his greatness: How many penalties would he have cost the Panthers there in today's NHL?

Like mindfly said, in swedish Aftonbladet he recently said he didn't have any plans to retire. He even mentioned playing as long as Chelios has, but that was probably more of a joke. He did seem to have his mind set on playing a few more years atleast.
