If the Wings take this game, I could see the series ending in 5 or even 4 games. If the Hawks take it, I feel the series will go to 7. All they need is a little confidence and they'll be hard to stop. It's time for Pavel and Marian to get the monkies off their backs. They'll have a strong game and lead us to victory. Go Wings! -
The only "replacement" they could find if he retires after next season is an elite goaltender, Luongo maybe.

Yep. Both have goalies that are playing very good though.

No offense to Ericsson, but they could probably throw out a bag of potatoes next to Lids and it would still be one of the best D-pairs in the league. Big-E has played awesome in the playoffs, but I think ideally he should have a guy like Lids, or Lilja if he was healthy, as a partner. Last 2 or 3 games he's started to shown signs of being a rookie. Might be the intensity and toughness of the Anaheim series that has taken it's toll on him.

I think the OP is on to something here. With Turco playing the point on the PP instead of Sammy we'd be unstoppable.

I agree, but you could say the same for the Wings. The thing is that Chicago has to play a perfect game to even have a CHANCE to win. Not saying they can't do that, but I have a hard time seeing them pull off 4 perfect games.

I was really rooting for Pavel to get the empty netter, but I should have known that Z would end up with it Pav really needs to just get a goal, in any way possible.

I'm loving this. Cleary, Sammy, Stuart, Ozzie.. who would have thought a few months ago that all of them would be pretty much completely redeemed (except for the "sammy on the PP"-complaint which is still totally valid)?

I don't care if he scores huge goals in key situations, if he falls down one more time he has to be benched!

Hudler-Filppula-Hossa sounds like a really appealing line to me.. but more realistically I think maybe giving Helm a chance to play with Pav and Hossa could produce some good results. Not that I expect many changes after a 5-2 win.

Yeah, Datsyuk should play with Z and Cleary. Franzen and Flip are both hot and can get Hossa going. Even though we are in the lead, I don't think most of the lines are really clicking.
