If not for Bulin (and the Wings not being sharp enough in scoring opportunities), this could have been a blowout. Hawks are fast and have tons of talent, but their inexperience is showing. And their D is kinda slow with the puck it seems, they're not able to handle the Wings forecheck. However they have been amazing in 3rd periods this playoffs, not to mention the amount of games they've come from behind in, so this is far from over.

Same with Huds-Flip-Sammy. I know Huds can score from time to time, but he's not really a big time scorer. I think Babs should go back to ZDH and FFH.
-
Someone SCORE plz
-
Homer isn't get much done.. Neither is Sammy.. put one of them down on the 4th line and get Helm up a line or two.
-
Hossa needs to stop passing, it only leads to turnovers. Atleast we got a PP here. CAPITALIZE

The first period is what I was worried the most about. The Wings looked bad the first 10:00, but a lot better towards the end. Expecting the Wings to take more control of the game in the 2nd.
-
As I feared, the Wings look sluggish so far. I expect them to get going in the 2nd and 3rd, they just need to tighten things up and don't fall into a deeper hole.
-
oh my god..

Hm, they said game-time is about 30 minutes away on TSN.
-
I'm getting nervous now.. will be interesting to see how the Wings look in the first 30-40 minutes.
-
The biggest error in that article is that she thinks Chris Osgood can be mentally rattled just like Luongo was.
-
That's my biggest concern. How emptied are their mental and physical tanks? I think the Hawks big chance is come out hard in game 1 and 2 and try to take atleast one of them. I could see the Wings being a bit sluggish atleast the first game.
-
Abdelkader has played good, and the 4th line looked great in Game 7 with Draper back. So I see no reason to mess with the lineup. That said, I think Chicago could be the kind of team that Leino could really do some damage against. He is a real scoring threat even on the 4th line. But I doubt he'll see any ice-time unless things aren't going very well, or if say Draper's injury flares up again.

Hank is the man. Great shift and nice pass on the SWG. His defense on those 5-on-3's in Game 7 was unbelievable. 14 points in 11 games. If I'm not mistaken he has atleast a point in every game so far except for one. I have no complaints whatsoever about Z, and he just seems to be getting better.

DET/CHI 4-2 PIT/CAR 3-4 I need a big round here.

Cam Ward has never lost a playoff series. If they win the cup this year.. insanity.

...the same Brodeur who let in 2 goals in the last 2 minutes of Game 7 against the Canes?
-
I think Hossa would be a GREAT fit on the Caps. Ovie, Hossa and Green on the same team? That's 110+ goals a season right there. And I wouldn't be too upset if we lost him to them. What the Caps really need is atleast 1 or 2 really solid d-men. Preferably one top 4 guy and one that can play really solid D on the 3rd pairing (a Lilja type guy).
-
Canes are definitely the "black sheep" of the final four. But there's something about them. I would hate for them to win the Cup (boooooring), but at the same time I'm having a hard time rooting against them.
-
Well, the Pens haven't really gone up against a really good defense yet. I'll be amazed if he dominates as much against the Canes.
-
I'm really glad our PK got going in this Game 7. The Hawks have a great PP, and the Wings need to be on top of their PK to neutralize it.
-
Obviously still early to talk about it (especially with one series still not decided). However, it is fun: Wings: Osgood Hawks: Kane Bruins: Thomas Canes: Staal Pens: Crosby
-
I've deliberately not said anything about him so far in order to not jinx him, but yes he's been fantastic. Every game he's given the team a chance to win. Tonight he had some huge saves at key times. He's definitely not been the "weak link".

Good goal. It's the kind of goal that you hate to have scored on you, and I can promise you that this board would be UGLY if the same goal was scored on us instead. However, it is a good goal, undeniably.
