They showed this stat on TSN, I thought it was mind-blowingly impressive:

Hiller was great this game. Yeah, he got lucky a few times, but he made some big saves. Changing goalie now would send signals of panic to the team imo. I can't see them going with Giggy, he has barely played for months.

Yeah, Malkin has had several games in the playoffs where he's just been absolutely invisible except for making mistakes every now and then. Atleast Pavel is doing some good things even if he's not scoring. In this game he had some really, really great shifts, and did almost everything right except scoring. And that's where the good things about having tons of depth come in, even if one of our top players are being kept off the scoreboard, we can still win the game. The Ducks aren't winning if Getzlaf doesn't have atleast 3 points.

Holland is a genius. If he doesn't get Hossa signed, no way we'll lose Hudler too. Kopy could go either way, but he's cheap so chances are he'll be around. But those are the kind of things that I don't want to think about right now.. I just want to enjoy having all these great players while we still have them.

I didn't notice Abdelkadabra at all, but I guess that could be a kind of good thing. Ericsson and Helm are amazing. They'll be on the team for the next 15 years, I hope.

Zetterberg is the best player in the world. Atleast in the playoffs. God damn do I love seeing him play like this. Not to mention Franzen.. HOOOLEEEEY SHIIIITE. Clutch clutch clutch. So is Huds. Datsyuk played good. But he needs a goal, bad. Actually he just needs to get some points. You can tell his confidence is a little bit down. OZZIE OZZIE OZZIE I love that man. I was gonna complain about the refs, but we did have a goal that could have been called off for interference (amazing that O'Halloran didn't). Doesn't entirely make up for Game 3, but atleast it's good to know we're not always getting shafted by the refs. Bring on Game 6. I think we'll take it.

And the Untimely Penalty of the Year award goes to... NIKLAS KRONWALL!! God that was stupid. Just took away all our momentum and put the Ducks right into the game, because up until that PP goal they were sleepwalking out there. They played amazing up until that penalty though.. ZDH really starting to show their dominating side. We still have a lead, but we need to really, really bring it to the Ducks in the 3rd.

Not a bad 1st period compared to earlier in this series, the Wings really should have had a goal or two. Mule, Hoss and Fil look good again. Z and D looked okay, and I feel like any moment they're going to just go crazy and score a hat-trick each.

Apparently Jonsson wasn't on the ice for a single goal against in the tournament. That's pretty impressive. Oduya should be a lock for the Olympics. Rooting for the Russians in the final.

I hope the Wings win today. Seriously, I do.

As long as the Wings beat the Ducks, I couldn't care less who they face in the WCF (and SCF). That said, I think we match up better against Chicago. And that would mean less travel and earlier games.

I just looked at the difference between the number of PP's each team has gotten in this series. It's ridiculous. The Pens have a ton more than the Caps. I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but the Pens just seem to always get the good end of bad reffing.

Pathetic effort by the swedes against canada. Atleast the two best teams made it to the final. Sweden generally sucks in bronze-medal games, so I'm guessing it will be another 4th place.

Obviously the rivalry with the Avs was on a whole other level. But I actually hate the Ducks more than I ever hated the Avs. I always had some respect for Colorado, Lemiux being the exception. They felt like a true, worthy adversary to the Wings. And they had Forsberg.

Used to be Pahlsson.. now I don't really know. I have a lot of respect for Selanne, but I kinda hate him because he's always so damn good against team Sweden in international games. That Bobby Ryan kid is good though, if he was playing for the Wings I'd love him.
