If he's not in the top 5 it will be a disgrace. I don't care if there's a lot of talent on the Wings. Semin, Backstrom, Fedorov, Green, Nylander, Kozlov etc. aren't exactly garbage either. How the hell did 8 players finish above him last year? The top 4 I can understand, but who else? I also like the idea of him getting the Pearson instead of the Hart. But I can't remember the last time someone got the Hart and not the Peason though.

Last two games, against Minnesota and Buffalo, the Wings have pretty much looked like the team that won the cup last year. I'm not counting out another Ozzie-breakdown, but it looks like the team is starting to gear up for the playoffs.

Sammy nets one to give the Wings six 20+ goal scorers. Zetterberg has 5 helpers to get to a point-per-game status this season. Barry Trotz has no neck. Wings win 5-0.

No, he decided to sign with Dynamo Moskva for next season.. apparently he didn't feel like Edmonton really wanted him on their team (they told him he was small and that they don't need more small players), and he didn't want to play in the AHL.

I agree with you FRW, the SEL has been really boring this year.. apart from Omark & Harju who have been fun to watch (sadly they chose KHL over the NHL next season). Färjestad also happens to be my most hated team in the league, closely followed by HV71. You can imagine that I was really excited for the finals.. Doesn't help that there was barely a close series in the whole playoffs. Can't wait for the real thing to start over in the NHL.

I'd rather see the Panthers make the playoffs than the Habs. Montreal is a broken team, they'd get sweeped for sure by the Bruins/Caps.

I don't know how Oshie's goal can be so far in front. It's a nice goal, but the weakest of the bunch. And Ovie's goal isn't all that special either imo, he's scored better ones this year. Out of these 5, I'd say Wheeler or Hagman should win.. Franzen's is really, really nice too though, and I'm always amazed at how great his hands are. You don't expect it from looking at him. However, his latest goal was better. Really, there's like 15-20 goals this season that I'd choose over most of these.

This one will be ugly.. ..for the Sabres. Wings make up for all the missed opportunites against the Wild and go on a scoring spree. Z has 4 and Datsyuk 3 for a 7-1 Win. But Ozzie lets in a soft one at the end and no-one cares about anything else except that.

Exactly. And that's despite him having his worst year since getting to the league. If the Rangers could score goals they'd be a dangerous team.

Avery as NYR's MVP? Yeah, he's been good for them since getting there, but he hasn't even played half of their games.

Hank was a beast this game. Probably his best of the season. I had almost forgotten how completely amazing he is when he plays like this. Most of the season he's seemed a step slow, still good but not like the playoffs last year. Really hope that this was a sign of things to come. Also, these lines were great. The top line especially rocked. But I'm still not a big fan of Cleary, even though he looked better than he has in a long time today. I'd love to see Hudler or Leino play with Franzen and Z in the playoffs. Cleary can be on the 3rd or 4th line. Great game overall. Glad to see the team play good from the drop of the puck to the final whistle for once.

Can you give it up already? Looking at you post history, like 9 out of every 10 posts is about Ozzie and how much he sucks. We know your opinion by know, okay? And we all know he's playing bad, but we manage to find ways to talk about other things besides him, you should be able to as well.

amazing how Ozzie plays solid the entire game and certain posters don't make a single post, and the moment he lets in what could be called a soft goal, they appear and start posting.
