I made a prediction in the GDT before the game that Ozzie would play great but let in one goal and 90% of the discussion regarding the game would be analyzing that goal. Okay, he actually let in 3 goals, but this board is still so very predictable.. Ozzie was awesome. Some of the saves he made were sick. In my eyes this was the best game he's played this season, but I guess the people who only see the number 3 won't agree with me.

Honestly who cares about the last 1-2 goals atlanta scored? The game was over by then and you can't expect the Wings to keep focus when having a 4 goal lead against one of the worst teams in the league. If it was San Jose I'd give them some s*** for it but now it doesn't matter. Ozzie was amazing. Too bad about the goals in the 3rd, he looked like he was headed for a SO, but once again who cares. Important thing is he's good when the game is on the line, not when the game is already over. Good to see Z with a 4 point night, he's been due for it. I thought it looked like he was getting more and more confident as the game went on.

Hossa gets 16 goals against his former club to take the lead over Ovechkin in scoring. However, a loophole in Arby's hat-trick deal means no free sandwiches are given out. Apparantly it doesn't count if one player accumulates more than one trick in the same game. Hank has assists on all goals to break into the top 10 in points. Ozzie makes 45 saves on 46 shots, but 90% of the GDT is still dedicated to analyzing the one goal he let in.

Minnesota/Edmonton vs. Florida/Carolina is the worst case scenario for me. I would honestly not watch a single game of a SCF composed of any 2 of those 4 teams. Atleast if Columbus made it it would be fun to see if Mason could win the Cup in his rookie year. And it would be a nice story if the only team that has never made the playoffs before went to the SCF in their first appearance. Honestly, if the Wings make the final I don't care who they face. It's not like I'm going to say "eh, boring matchup, not gonna watch".

Exactly. The Franzen-Datsyuk-Hossa line looked deadly against Philly. And we all know how good Hank and Pavel are together. Hossa and Z sadly have zero chemistry. I don't think they've been able to string together 2 passes between them this season. And Sammy on the 1st line is a joke. Give Hudler some time on the top 2 lines, maybe that will get him going again. But maybe these were just crazy ideas he tried in practice, hopefully it's not what we'll see in the game tomorrow.
