LET'S TRY TO FOCUS ON THE NEGATIVE STUFF EVERYONE!! ..anyway. Congrats to Ozzie, 300 wins! Good to see the win come in a great performance by him, one of his best of the season. Good game, the Wings sort of eased up in the 3rd but the defence looked pretty good and of course Ozzie was solid.

I have not been impressed by the reffing this game. The only thing we need is a phantom goalie interference call on Homer to top it off.

Yeah, same here. The last thing it makes me want to do is buy filet-o-fish. Not that I even have a McD's in my city anyway though.

Good to see Datsyuk get a pair (so far), he's been snakebitten when it comes to scoring lately. Now the question is, what Wings team will step out there in the 3rd? I can't imagine Babs telling them anything but to play like it's a 0-0 game.

I'm really happy to see how well Berglund has been doing his rookie-season. If it wasn't for Steve Mason he could have had a shot at the Calder. He reminds me a little bit of a young Sundin, and will be a great player for Team Sweden in the Olympics next year.

Good to see Hossa back, hopefully this comeback lasts longer than his last one The Blues are a good team, and this Mason isn't much worse than other one. Will be a tough game. GO WINGS!

    Any hardware this year?

Of course the Stanley Cup is the only one that really matters, but I always think it's fun to see Wings players pick up individual awards. Pavel has to get one of the Hart, Selke and Lady Byng. I doubt he has a real shot at the Hart, but he and Parise should be the front runners for both the Selke and the Lady Byng. Lids still has more than a decent chance of getting the Norris. The feeling is that most people really want to give it to someone else this year, but the fact is Lids is still the best overall d-man out there. Recently he's started to put some more pucks in the net and pick up some points which should help his cause. If he finishes top 3 in points among D-men I really think he SHOULD win it.

Blues win, 3-1 against Sharks, continuing the trend of only losing whenever the Wings also lose. Atleast this time we gained a point on them.

I don't know about you guys.. but what I saw this game almost made me more confident that this team will do well in the playoffs and has a shot at repeating. We played against one of the best teams in the West, one that many hold as a Stanley Cup contender after their deadline moves. They also were on a losing streak and were looking to end it. Consider we didn't have Hossa, our hungriest player and our best goalscorer and we still scored 5 on what is considered one of the better goalies in the league. We didn't have Lilja, one of most consistantly good defensive d-men this season, and our best shot-blocker. We also didn't have Helm and Leino, two players that bring great depth and give us dangerous 3rd and 4th lines along with that hunger and "something to prove"-attitude of young players. In the playoffs, we will have all those players. And everyone else will be even more willing to sacrifice themselves, blocking shots and not taking it easy just because they have the lead. What I saw for the most part of this game was a team that proves they step it up when it counts. In the 3rd it felt like they knew they had proven they can play when it matters, and they sat back on the lead and it cost them. That won't happen in the playoffs. Despite the loss, this game gave me a lot of the answers I wanted out of this game.

I asked for excitement in this game and it delivered in spades. Holy s*** what a game. Too bad about the shoot-out loss, but in the end we were lucky to get a point.. I thought the team looked okay in the 3rd period, up until the 4-3 goal when they seemed to fall apart. Conklin let in some weak ones, but was also unlucky with a lot of screening, deflections and bad bounces. In the end I think he did give us a chance to win but the team was too defensively minded in the 3rd. Gotta give the Flames credit though, they really came out flying in the 3rd and just gave it all they had. Overall I'm pretty happy with the performance of the team, despite the breakdown in the end. With Lilja and Hossa back, and with Leino and Helm in the lineup, we will be even stronger. Kipper played his ass off but still let in as many goals as Conks. I think he's getting worn out and as usual will fall apart in the playoffs. Stop panicking people. jeez.

I'm not sure, but Malkin ran right over Mason a couple minutes before they started scoring. Maybe that's how to get him off his game. Love what I'm seeing from the Wings. Sure, they've been on defense for a lot of the 3rd, but they're physical and playing really solid. Conklin is good too, keeping rebounds to a minimum. Once again they show they step up their game against big teams.

Didn't watch last season's playoffs did you? Especially the SCF-series. Oh, I guess you weren't really thinking about hockey much that late in the season.
