He looked like Datsyuk there..
-
I love Conks but that was a little bit weak. Use your legs man, not the glove.
-
4-2 Sharks after a lucky bounce off a skate for the Sharks.
-
Nice one Kopy..
-
H-H-H-HOSSA Shot it right through Rinne
-
Hm, 2-2, Marleu.
-
There is a thread for that game! I'm watching, hopefully the Bruins win so we can tie the Sharks for the 1st position after tonight
-
Wow, the Wings with 22 shots already.
-
"all kinds of this, all kinds of that" annoying. EDIT: .. but we score, Datsyuk!
-
I saw that.. interesting. And goal! Zetterberg!
-
5-1 Datsyuk with a hat-trick.
-
I feel like Z has a tendency to get kicked out of faceoffs a lot, especially when Pavel is on his line. Maybe that's the reason, he knows he's there to step in.

I don't know if we can learn much from the Rangers. They live by that saying "your goaltender should be your best penalty-killer".

4th time in 11 years I think.

That was fun to watch again What a great run. How amazing was Zetterberg? That play for the 4-2 goal in the 3rd game against Dallas was unbelievable. And Kronner with his hits, hopefully he can get back his confidence and start dealing them out again this year. Btw, who's that guy with no.3 that was falling over in our zone and giving away pucks? Glad we have Lilja now instead of him.
-
I was glad to hear even the NBC guy (Olzcyk I think) saying Lilja should have been one of the 3 stars yesterday. Might be the best game I've seen him play. And he's having a great season, he's pretty much been our 3rd best D-man imo.

In an article about the game yesterday on Aftonbladet.se, they talked a little bit with Hank about playing with Pav. http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/hock...ticle4361284.ab Translation of the Pav-bit: How about yourself, are you starting to get going? – Since I came back from my injury I've been doing better and better. I think it's fun to play now. I have the contract-negotiations behind me and I get to play with Pavel again. Yes, you two looked like the classic duo against Pittsburgh. How did it even come to be that they split you up? – You don't really know that, what's behind a decision like that. But now we're playing together again and will probably do so for the rest of the season. Why do the two of you work so well together? – We have a lot of fun together and know eachother very well. In about 80 percent of the games I've played since I came to Detroit I've had Pavel on my line, so.. yeah, we know were we have eachother. '

Tried my hand at a better translation of it: North-american hockey commentators are almost always brilliant. Except when they - like today - have to work for NBC. Because then - it's emerged - they get orders to tell anecdotes instead of following the events on the ice too closely. Who hatched this "flatnosed" idiot idea? Does anyone really think the large audience that doesn't follow hockey on a regular basis, will become more interested in it because two uncomfortable experts are rambling on and on about Sidney Crosby's torn underpants in grade 4? The world is full of television executives who understand nothing. Per Bjurman is great, I love his blog, especially during the playoffs.

This looked like the SCF team from last year. I know it's only Pittsburgh and they're pretty much horrible, but we shut down Malkin and Crosby which isn't all that easy. I'm sure Malkin must have had a 47-game point streak or something coming into this game. Our PK was flawless, Lilja and Rafalski were amazing. Lidstrom was Norris' Nick again. Kronwall wasn't bad. Cheli skated faster than I've seen him do in 10 years. Leino looks like he's on his 5th NHL-season, what a smart hockeyplayer he is. Filppula had a good game again, putting him on the 2nd line has really upped his confidence it seems. Conks played great, he was very calm and good at controlling rebounds. Datsyuk and Hossa each scored a great goal. Only thing that looked truly bad was our PP, but so what. Great effort today, I'm sure Babs is pleased.

WHAT A GOAL DATSYUK= BEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE
-
HOSSA!! SHUT THEM UP!
-
EUROTWINS! Horrible PP but good things happen when you put the puck on the net.
-
too many penalties in this period, hope the refs calm down and let the guy's play in the 2nd and 3rd. EDIT:..knew that was too much to hope for, PK again.
-
That should have been a PP for us. Crosby is such a *****.
