oh man, how was that not a goal! EDIT: and a pk! a one goal lead doesn't feel very safe right now..by all the logic in the world, this should have been an easy win with the way we've played. Thx Ozzie.

Sigh. Atleast this time we had a two goal lead. But this game could be 4-0 or atleast 4-1 if not for Ozzie. He's done some good saves in this game, especially early on, but you just can't defend him when he lets in goals like that.

Yeah, Cleary on the 3rd and Helm on the 4th is what I'd like to see. Helm is good enough to be on a 2nd or 3rd line, but there's just not room.

Yeah, I mean we all know Homer is the perfect 3rd link in that line. The 2nd line looks perfect right now, and the 3rd isn't bad either, Helm is looking really good. If we could just put in Abby and Helm on the 4th line, these lines would look quite good.

Yeah. I'm not exactly a fan of Kopy, but I think people are going a bit overboard with the hate.

Apart from the last PK, I really, really liked what I saw this period. The first 3 lines look good. Ozzie let in the goal a little easy, but otherwise played better than he has in almost the entire season. Let's keep playing for the full 60 mins on this one, mmkay?

Even though this has to be one of his worse years, it's really hard to think of someone that has been better than Lids, or even on the the same level. But anyone else think the Cap's Green will be a Norris contender this year? I don't know if he's the best defensively, but he's sick on the offense.

Did anyone notice how he lost almost all the faceoffs he took? Maybe he just had a bad day, but I feel like he is not the same go-to-guy he used to be in important face-off situations.

But.. if we don't keep Hossa we will probably be able to keep all our "homegrown" players, like Franzen. I think we are all just really spoiled and don't like the thought of possibly having to give up a great player. I'm sure the cap has it's share of problems, but overall I think the NHL is much, much more interesting now than it was before. The battle for the playoff spots that we're starting to see now is almost as interesting to me as the playoffs itself.
