Frustrating game. It's just a loss though. Glad we don't have to face Phoenix anymore, such a boring team to watch. Difficult to beat them though. On to the next one.

I don't see the problem to be honest. He's made some great plays, for example the other night blocking 2 shots right in front of the goal and saving a goal. Overall he's been good and I expect him to get better and better, would really help if he develops some chemistry with someone. We're winning games and Franzen and Abby looks like they've found eachother, if Weiss gets involved too that 2nd line could be very good.

Sounds much better than I feared, good. We need him back ASAP.

Bad period, we had zero offense. Unfortunate that Gus let in two softies but that's how it goes sometimes. He's had that habit in Toronto as well to play great but let in weak goals. Offense needs to bail him out in this one.

Dat work along the boards before the 2nd goal. A glimpse of what a Z/D/Alfie line would look like. Monster looks sharp. Sucks so bad about Kronner. Guy has such terrible luck, always seems to get injured when he's playing his best hockey.

Hard to change a winning lineup but think Tatar could have helped us against the Avs speed. Gus in net again? Hope he can have another strong game, but it will be a big test. 3 straight solid performances would really solidify him as someone to count on this season. Looking forward to seeing Colorado, but the Wings better be ready, this is the hottest team we've faced this year.

There are enough terrible teams with trouble scoring that you'd think one would take a chance on a veteran like Sammy. Philly, Buffalo, Edmonton.. come on, someone take him!

I really disagree with that view of his performance in that game and I'm not even one of the people most upset about him not being in the lineup. Basically I think he was put in a position where it's extremely difficult for him to succeed so it's not surprising he didn't do great. How many guys on this team can you put on the 4th line with Emmerton and Miller and expect that line to be productive? Datsyuk and Zetterberg MAYBE, and that's it. Most likely Tatar will be overthinking everything he does now because he believes he has to set the world on fire in order to stay in the lineup. Most players, especially young ones, actually perform better if they're given some trust by their coach and don't have to play with the pressure of being out of the lineup if they have a bad game. Simple truth is that going by what Tatar did last season both in the NHL and AHL, and by what he did in camp, he should be cemented on one of our top 3 lines this year. He should play 82 games and he should play on the PP.. Like everyone is saying, we're struggling to score goals and we have a guy who LOVES to put pucks in the net on the 4th line or not even in the lineup. Sense, this does not make. Anyway, I hope Babcock's comment is directed towards Holland. He needs to make the necessary decisions that enables/forces Babcock to play the best possible lineup, you know, the one that includes two of the best offensive talents we have.

He looked bad playing a couple of minutes in a role completely wrong for him against one of the best teams in the league in a game where the entire Wings lineup was awful? Shocking.

I didn't see last game, but in the first 3 I didn't think Smith was so bad that he needed to sit. Not a big deal though, but that comment from Babs about Tatar is a headscratcher. Definitely feels to me it's more a message to management than to Tatar but who knows. Pretty interesting lines. Not the changes I'd make but could be good.

He was dominant in his last couple of international tournaments. I think it was 08 when they won the gold and Feds was on another level, just brilliant. He didn't lose the ability to play.

Bring him back Kenny. If only for one game. Let him retire as a wing and then put his number up there. Love Feds. Hope he kicks ass in the KHL.

I wish we had signed Brunner, but that's a bit premature.. 79 games to go. Besides like mentioned we offered him a deal, and most likely if he had accepted Cleary would have been the odd man out not Alfie.

Ugly game but great finish, good for Alfie, Weiss and Franzen to all be involved in the tying goal and winner. Hoping for a more complete effort tomorrow!

2nd line isn't working too well. Alfie -> 1st line, Nyq -> 2nd line, Abby->4th line, Tatar ->3rd line. Bert&Sammy->whatever

Well this game is incredibly dull. Tatar in the lineup tomorrow, please. Take your pick between Cleary, Bert and Sammy as to who gets benched. 3rd period comeback is up to Z and D, they're the only ones who came to play.

Slow, sloppy period. Only Z and D look decent. Give 'em hell in the room Babs.
