I agree, imo Pav's wrist is holding him back and he can't really carry around both Bert and Mule out there. Pav needs to play with either Fil or Z to ease his load until he's 100%.

Zetterberg is once again our best player tonight. Could have had a couple of assists if people would finish on his passes.

Imo it wouldn't make sense for them to go after Nash.. what they need is depth scoring and defense, not to become even more top-heavy.

If only we could get Nash for picks and prospects. Columbus are guaranteed to want a guy like Filppula atleast.

Yeah seriously, if we place 1st in the West or even in the league and get home-ice throughout the playoffs.. we have a real good opportunity. Especially if we don't have to go all the way out to Phoenix and San Jose for the first two rounds. Something like Minnesota 1st round and Chicago 2nd round would be much better.

Come on dude we're #1 in the league, the team does not need a major wake-up call. Even if Holland does NOTHING we'll still be one of the teams that have a good shot at the cup this year. Now personally I think, and hope, Holland will do something, add a guy or two that can increase our chances of success in the playoffs. But a major trade is a gamble for a team that is doing as well as we are, and Holland has not shown to be a guy that gambles and gives up a lot just for a big-name player. So yes I think there will be an 'impact' trade, but I don't think Holland will go after Nash or Parise as the prize will most likely be too high.

Strangely enough I thought it looked like he was flying out there against Edmonton, before he got hit into the door. Oh well a week is not too bad and we'll be fine without him, looking forward to seeing Mursak.

This sort of opinion made a little more sense before the break. These last few games he's been doing basically nothing but good things and putting up points and in this game he's also been great. And now he scored a goal.

For us having a lead and more than double the shots of Edmonton? Settle down people. Edmonton got some life from that fluke goal but they've pretty much had nothing dangerous other than that.

I think all the people who hate Franzen around here would hate Carter pretty much just as much if not more. As long a contract, for more money, for a guy that is just as streaky and haven't proven to be half as good in the playoffs as Franzen. Pass.

He has ONE 40+ goal season.. I'd love to see the Hank that would regularly put up 30+ goals again though.

It was working pretty well a while back, and the big difference that strikes me now compared to then is that Franzen is just not getting open and taking shots like he was. Player movement needs to get better too, it's too static and predictable most of the time. Also, can we stop pretending that "a sniper" would solve every last issue with the team? Nasvhille has the 2nd best PP% in the league and their leading goalscorer has 15 goals. It's very possible to have a great PP without having a Stamkos or Ovechkin on the team.

Weak game by Datsyuk. On the other hand Zetterberg was amazing. Gonna be a tough couple of weeks without Howard, but maybe with MacDonald we have a chance to still win some games.

Imo that would be a good deal for Columbus and a ******* terrible one for us. Imagine losing Lidstrom, Stuart and Kronwall for next season. Even if we got our hands on Suter we'd look weak as hell on D.

As long as he's not out very much longer than 2 games we'll be fine and it could be a good rest for Howie. I was really horrified when I read the words "Howard injured" though because if was to miss significant time we'd be screwed. Funny also how he's injured in one of the games where he's had the least to do all year.

Howard is so improved on shootouts he doesn't even look like the same goalie from just a season or two ago. Much calmer and rarely bites unless it's a sick move. Pav with his trusted move and Huds with a nice sneaky shot. Good win all in all. We probably should have won in regulation, Nucks got a flukey goal to tie up in the 3rd but on the road, against one of the major contenders to come out of the West this year, I'm more than happy with this outcome.
