Jagr is a decent comparison, didn't mention him since he's not in the NHL anymore. I always saw Jagr as more of a goalscorer than playmaker but other than that they do have similarities. Leino? Well a very, very lite version then

Well there's really no one you can compare him too, he's such a special player. But Crosby and Dats both have aspects of their game which remind me of him.

Crosby would be a better comparison, as much as I hate to say it. Or Datsyuk combined with Maltby.

Let go of the decade old hate, the guy was awesome and it's really sad that you can't see past that old rivalry and recognize that. One of the most complete players to ever play the game. He obviously loves hockey enough to go through dozens of surgeries to his foot just to get one more chance to play the game on a high level. What's wrong with that? In my opinion such a great player deserves to finish his career up with style. I don't know. Maybe I'm just biased because I'm a swede and I know how insanely humble, down-to-earth and nice Forsberg is. If you watch interviews with him, or even better meet him in person, it's impossible to wish him anything but success in his comeback attempt.

A lot of it has to do with how Babs rarely puts him out there with the 1st line. He's always playing with the 2nd, 3rd or 4th lines and that obviously means he's not in on as many pluses.

What's Babs gonna do? Yell at MacDonalds that he's not an NHL-caliber goaltender? Tell Kindler not to make rookie-mistakes? Ask for more production from Taters?

I couldn't care less about Lidstrom's +/-, as long as he doesn't end up a minus on the season. I want his streak of + seasons to continue.

Larsson wasn't doing great in the AHL before leaving, but has been awesome in the SEL and should have a lot of confidence. I certainly wouldn't feel much worse with him backing Howie up than Macdonald. And just as I say that it's 2-0 Columbus.

Shame we couldn't win it in regulation, but I'm okay with the point after that start and looking at our injury situation. Hopefully Homer and Howie aren't too badly injured, although I gotta say right now I'm not very confident with Howard in net anymore. Maybe some time off to get refocused is what he needs, providing Joey Mac can keep playing like he's done in his two appearances this season. One more thing: what a fighter Zetterberg is. He is clearly not 100%, far from it, but he's just battling it out and was close to winning the game both in OT and SO.

EDIT: whoops, I see they linked last year's list and Lids was 5th. Might have been the year before he was 1st, or I'm just making things up. Fact is Lidstrom is out there on more goals against this year than he was last year. Now whether you put that down to him being worse (I don't) or something else (playing with Stuart, worse goaltending, not always being out there with Z or Pav etc.), statistically he's not having a great defensive year so far. But the Wings are allowing too many goals period, so I think it's more than just Lidstrom getting old.
