Yeah I mean I don't disagree with a lot of his player assessment to be honest, but when it comes to Flip I think he's been more than worth his pay this year.

Didn't catch the game (hate these late west coast games) but looking at the highlights on NHL.com a few things strike me: * Holy crap at Colorado's announcers.. must be some of the worst homers in the league. "wow wow wow what a play by Duchene!!" when the Avs score. When the Wings score: "they score..will it count??..yes, it's a goal.. " * Howard follows up his Vancouver performance with THAT? Not every goal was his fault but atleast one or two of them he NEEDS to stop. With Ozzie gone for some time Howard has to be more consistant, he can't play like this every other game. * Defense? Hello? * Hank continues putting up points atleast. Great to see, no one can say he's not taking his responsibility in the absence of Pav etc.

We won?? How the hell did that happen...

We weathered the early storm, but I still have a really hard time seeing us get out of this game with 2 points. Vancouver looks great.

3-0 Wings, Hudler hat-trick. 5 minutes played. (some fat guy is singing the anthems)

He certainly deserved the win tonight. I would have been angry with the team if they let him down after a performance like that! Congrats Ozzie and hopefully now that this milestone is achieved you can go on to win many more!

That's awesome by the Wings to let Salei spend some extra time with his family, and it's also good for Kindl to get the chance in the NHL every now and then.

If Franzen doesn't start looking alive now I'll be incredibly disappointed. Him and Filppula need to fill big parts of the hole that Pav leaves. Zetterberg also needs to be more consistant of an offensive threat. Can't go 2-3 games without doing much, and then have 4-5 points in one game. Overall I'm sure the Wings will do okay. Fingers crossed that we don't start losing more guys while Pav is out though.

He did get a lot of attention back when he won the Art Ross, but for reasons unknown he kinda faded from the spotlight. Playing for Tampa has something to do with it. Even when they won the cup it felt like NO ONE cared. Don't think I've ever met anyone who considered themselves a Tampa fan. They're getting some hype now though with Stamkos and Yzerman turning things around for them, so I believe St.Louis will also get more exposure. He seems like a really classy guy and obviously is a great player, he'd fit in extremely well with the Wings organization..

And one of their goals was on a delayed penalty, so you could say they scored 2 PP goals. Just a sad officiating effort overall though. And I'm usually of the opinion that there are too many penalties called, I like 5-on-5 play, but this was ridiculous, you gotta make the calls when they're there to be made.

Our defense has been pretty awful tonight. The ice also seems to be bad, the puck is jumping a lot, which hurts our style of play. I don't think this game is over though. It's only 2 goals.

Well after the horrible first couple of minutes the Wings took over. Too bad we're still down by one. But I feel confident we'll turn it around. P.S. Why isn't Mule playing? I only see some guy called "Franzen" out there, floating.

Great shift, Pavel looks unreal as usual. Z making some questionable decisions so far though when it comes to shooting or passing.

He looks awful so far this game, so does Stuart btw. But overall he hasn't been much better or worse than Lilja was for us. Wings need to settle things down imo, everytime Chicago enters our zone it's dangerous.
