Pavel is so ******* amazing.

The West seems to be getting tighter and tighter with each passing year.. a team like San Jose, not really THAT much worse than last year, are going to be struggling to make the playoffs this year.. Wings are in a good position right now but they've had a good schedule so far too. Lose a couple of games in a row and things will look different quite fast.

The East is more run-and-gun back-and-forth, but I don't see a huge difference between Wings games and other games between Western Teams. However Detroit is a puck-possession style team, and they're the best at it in the league, so it makes sense that they often control the flow of the game.

Would like to see some scoring from the top line this game. Pav looked a bit sloppy last game and haven't scored a goal in a while so I hope he can get it going. I think he's shown some good tendencies since being paired with Filppula. Yes I'm disappointed with him so far but it's way too soon to give up on him when we know from before what he can do. Last year we had a sort of similar situation with Leino and because the team was struggling we couldn't give him the time to find his game. This year the team isn't struggling so we can give Hudler time. If he finds his way back to becoming the player he was for us 2 seasons ago he could be extremely valuable for us in the playoffs.

What? That was great pressure, they didn't score but they will sooner or later. Wings will take this game 4-2.

I think our top line with EuroTwins and Mule will light Theodore up tonight.

Honestly if a team has a 5-on-3 PP for more than 30 seconds, it SHOULD be a goal. Otherwise it's a failure on the part of the team on the man advantage. You shouldn't expect the Wings (or any team) to consistantly kill off 3-on-5 boxplays. As long as the 4-on-5s work well, and they don't go 2 men short too often, it's nothing to worry about.

Well he has scored 3 and that didn't really cause him to go nuts. It's amazing how unlucky he seems sometimes though, like last night when Khabibulin makes that incredible glove save from his back.
