My fantasy team is getting hit by the injury bug. I have Hossa, Rafalski, Doughty, Howard and Letang. All injured right now. Hossa had such an awesome start to the season too.

I heard the Wings will only play 41 games this season, that's why they have so much time between games. Apparently this is a new idea by commissioner Gary Bettman to try and create more "parity" throughout the league.

He's had a great start, especially compared to last season where he didn't REALLY become himself until after christmas. It's gonna be difficult for him to win it though simply because he's won it so many times and the voters will want to give it to someone younger. On the other hand it's his final (?) season and that could get him some extra votes, kind off a "send him off the right way" thing. I think if his start is an indication on how his season will go, it's time to finally give him a Hart Trophy. Won't happen, but god damn does he ever deserve one. Maybe they should create a "Lidstrom Trophy" for the player who has been most valuable to his team for many years.

Had Kronner scored (he should have) that would have been one of the goals of the year imo.. amazing move by Pav.

Kronner has already been the victim of a few dirty knee-on-knee hits, remember last season? Imo there wasn't really anything wrong with this hit.

He's definitely slowing down. Only 4 points tonight, it's not enough. If he doesn't have 5 points next game I say trade him for bag of pucks and a burger.

It's a bit soon to start making changes, especially since all the other lines look good. If they don't improve in the next couple of games I'm sure Babs will try something different though.

The Ducks have kinda gotten their act together since we played them last time. The Getzlaf line is especially dangerous. Not expecting an easy game. 4-3 Wings in OT. P.S. any time we get away from a Ducks game without any injuries I'm a happy man. Please make it so.

You'd move Filppula down? I'd rather move Hudler up to the 2nd line, and Franzen up to the 1st line. Homer can be put on the 4th line, and Miller on the 3rd.

Argh, weird goal, but I'm not really loving our 3rd line right now.

I think I'd rather have 4 minutes of 5-on-5 and then 4 minutes of 4-on-4. 3-on-3 is a bit extreme, but on the other hand could be fun simply to see what players like Datsyuk would do with all that ice.

I think it's good that Babs doesn't start scrambling the lines too much.

1st line has to produce now that Franzen is out. And please no more injuries.

What?? You really think it's not time to panic? Did you watch the game? It was a very badly played game by the Wings. I'm not sure how much you know about hockey (I'm an expert) but teams very, very rarely recover from a bad game, especially not when that bad game happens this early in the season. Hope you guys enjoy the rest of the season, personally I'm OUT.

You know how it is, one bad game and suddenly everyone forgets anything good that a player has done previous games.
