So you're the reason the European airspace is closed. Bastard.

this this this

Only 5 points more on a better team that had less injuries. More PK time, helping the Canucks PK to 18th in the league.
-
Less takeaways, less goals..
-
Yep, and that is on the 2nd best team in the leage 5-on-5. It's also worth mentioning that while Kesler plays more on the PK than Pavel, Vancouver's PK is below average. Pavel didn't have any, but Kesler only had 1 and Staal 2.
-
That's a shame. I don't expect this too mean all that much, but it's still a good player they're missing.
-
We won't just win Game 4, we'll win it so much that the Coyotes throw in the towel on the series, quit hockey and take up curling instead.
-
Go Pavel! Kesler has a lot of hype and they might be looking to give it to someone else after Pav has won 2 straight, but I fully believe that out of those 3, Datsyuk it the most deserving winner.
-
He ran around hitting a ton after coming back from his injury, but it almost lead to him busting his knee up again (hit on Staal) and since then he has calmed down.

Detroit Zetterberg Lidstrom Franzen Phoenix Yandle

I don't really want the changes in points (makes it too complicated) but I really, really want them to increase the OT to 10 mins. The big problem with shootouts are that they happen too often.
-
It would be awesome, but it won't happen. I see both Pens and Caps pulling away and winning in 5 or 6 games.

Miller, Brodeur, Bryzgalov named nominees for Vezina trophy
dat's sick replied to a topic in General
He was 3rd in GAA, 2nd if you exclude Rask who only played 45 games. -
That's your opinion (I completely disagree) but there's more to not being soft than diving or not diving. For example, Crosby dives but he's not really a soft player.
-
Franzen may not play like a "true" power forward, but he's not as soft as some people around here say. He can throw some hits and most of all he's hard to move and hard to stop. I don't expect Bert to leave, I just hope he does.

I see Miller winning it for sure, but Bryzgalov is deserving too. And hell, Brodeur didn't exactly have a bad year either. -
True, but he wouldn't have to "much better" than Bert, I'd settle for "much younger" But you're right it's hard to find someone who does more than Bert for the same money. If Lids stays I'm sure Bert will too just because he's cheap. If Lids retires maybe some of the money cleared up there could go towards getting a decent upgrade over Bert, along with what I'm sure would be a Top 4 d-man.

I don't want to get too deep into discussions like this before we know what Lidstrom does. This will be a very different team depending on whether he hangs them up or not. But my main wishes are that Williams gets SENT FAR FAR AWAY and that Hudler returns. Quick lines for next year: Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom : re-unite this line from the get-go in training camp and let them find their chemistry. We need a dominant top line again. Hudler-Filppula-Franzen : If I'm not mistaken we had this line in the 07-08 playoffs did we not? Fil always had good chemistry with Hudler and Franzen complements the soft euros with some size. X-Abdelkader-Cleary : Where "X" is either Bertuzzi or (what I want) a young, speedy winger with something of a scoring touch. I'm thinking someone like Wojtek Wolski or Peter Mueller (good trade for Avs and Yotes) but I'm not sure who is available so I wouldn't be too upset if Bert ended up staying. Eaves-Helm-Miller : Goes without saying that Miller and Eaves need to stay. This line has speed, physicality, defense, and they could probably chip in some goals. Draper : Draper can hang around another year, he is a good 13th forward with his experience and versatility. But after next year he has to go.
-
Pav has been better on faceoffs lately though. And yes I guess Franzen should be on the right side. Whatever, the basic lines are what I want.
-
Yeah I definitely want to see: Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Holmstrom Franzen-Filppula-Bertuzzi
-
I know that's the go-to roster move on this team but Ericsson was a +/- 0 today, he wasn't the problem. Sadly Lidstrom and Rafalski was the worst d-pairing tonight and when that happens..well, we lose.
-
Yeah he had a bad game but that goal was a beauty. I hope that was what he needed to get some confidence because we desperately need him to come up big for us in this series.
-
If Howard lets in a couple of softies early in Game 4, yes it's Ozzie time. No way does Ozzie start Game 4 though. In Howard we have to trust.
-
BERTUZZI??? He was god awful today. Just terrible. Couldn't control pucks, gave it away, missed great scoring chances.. UGH.
-
Zetterberg was a beast in the last couple of minutes. If only Bertuzzi wasn't the opposite of clutch. I'm worried about Howard. He was the big question mark coming into the playoffs and he has not been convincing in any of the 3 games so far. 4th goal tonight was a BIG no-no. Series is far from over, but obviously the next game is a MUST win.
