Haha, and he goes on to score a hat-trick! I knew he would step up Awesome game. yes, some defensive breakdowns for the Wings, and the 1st period was no good. But highly entertaining, and we got lots of scoring which is important (ruin Bryzgalov's confidence). Now 1-1 and 2 home games for us. I like our chances. This will be a tough series but now we're in the playoffs for real.

Did someone drop acid in my drink in the 1st intermission or did that 2nd period really happen? Craziness. Atleast we're scoring. I feel the more open the game is, the more advantage it is for the Wings with their skill. Great to see Pav, Hank, Fil all stepping up. Like what I'm seeing from Mule as well, he just needs to get his scoring touch activated. This game could go either way, but it's ENTERTAINING to say the least!

We just can't create any momentum against these guys. Tiresome.

Yeah I actually think that is a big issue. Wings can't play their puck possession game the way they want to with pucks bouncing all over the place. Definitely benefits a grind-it-out team like Phoenix. Right now I feel like we need something big, momentum changing to turn this around. A Kronwalling, a Franzen run-over-Bryzgalov goal, a Datsyukian jock-strap remover and goal, a magical save by Howard.. ANYTHING.

Phoenix is really getting the Wings off their game. Not looking good so far. Zetterberg and Franzen need to wake up. If things don't look better after 1 or 2 periods tonight, I think Babs should make some changes to the top 2 lines, maybe pair up Hank and Pav or Hank/Mule/Cleary like last year.

Yeah great logic, because one hyped free agent ended up not living up to expectations, no one will. I couldn't really understant why Brunnstrom was so hyped to begin with. He had amazing numbers in the lower divisions in sweden but he wasn't really that great in the SEL. Zuccarello was dominant in the SEL and on top of that had a great olympics against the best players in the world. Not saying Zuccarello will definitely be a good NHL player, but I believe in him a hell of a lot more than I believed in Brunnstrom. Shame if it's true that he will be a Ranger. But like I mentioned earlier, they can throw all kinds of offers to free agent forwards. They need any and all scoring they can get. Also it's a great city. Regardless of where he ends up I look forward to following his career.

Something about the arena being booked by someone else (NBA team or something) and they couldn't work it out. No conspiracy, it could even come back to bite them as they might get a shorter rest before the next round (assuming they win).

I hope Zetterberg, Franzen, Cleary and a couple others get going tonight. If they do we'll probably win. If we take this one we're in a great position moving forward in the series!

Been rooting for the lower seeds in every game so far, but not in this one. Go Canucks! Haha! Nice one.

Good news, our PP has been suffering due to only playing with 4 guys out there. Getting a 5th guy in there will surely help.

This series is starting out as expected. We'll have to grind out 1-goal wins, and in order to do that our defense, PK and goaltending will have to be sharp at all times. It wasn't tonight. We're not going to score 5 goals against this team. We're not going to get big leads. They're never completely out of games it seems. Will be a long, tough series. But fun. It can go either way for sure.

This is Phoenix.. they didn't get the #4 seed due to their insane amount of skill. They work hard and have a great goaltender.

Gotta pressure the point on their PP.. that's where they're dangerous from.
