This is about what I expected from this series. Wings dominate puck possession and shots, but Yotes manage to hang around mostly thanks to Bryzgalov. We're going to see a lot of close games and we just have to hope the Wings end up getting the extra goal more often than not.

I want to see more from Hank and Franzen.

Yotes can't hang with the Wings 5-on-5. If only our PK was as sharp as it was in the regular season..

He's so invisible that I forget to complain about him I definitely want to see Abby in there instead, his physicality would be good to have against these fools.

Playoff hockey is fantastic! Wow what an intense period. Yotes kinda gooning it up, I hope the Wings can keep taking advantage of that by getting on the PP. Wings must have had like 80% puck possession in that period. They're really playing good. But Yotes are working hard. Will be a good series this.

Oh man, the GDT makes it sink in that the playoffs are finally starting today.. The damn late start time makes a mess of my life though, gonna have to get some sleep before the game. It will be important that the Wings get off to a good start. Don't give Bryzgalov or the rest of their team a confidence boost by letting them take this game. No predictions, just that it's going to be a very close game. I'M EXCITE!

I have to admit I was also surprised Gaborik didn't get to shoot, but I think he is pretty bad in SO's? Not sure what his numbers are. Overall I don't think the Rangers have "underachieved" though. When you only have 3 good players (Gaborik, Callahan, Lundqvist) and still almost make the playoffs you've done okay. I guess players would stop listening to Tortorella's constant screaming sooner or later though, so maybe a coaching change wouldn't be so bad. Most of all they need to add some scoring depth however.

Yeah if we're healthy we win. Getting out of the West healthy is going to be TOUGH however.

Wow, great job! I actually hadn't seen #6 and #7, those were great plays. Obviously #1 is just insane.. I hope the Wings can add the right kind of players to enable us to put the two of them together again. I believe they'll find their chemistry again if they're given time, seems like everytime we've put them together the last year or two they've had this enormous pressure to instantly produce.
