Phoenix Coyotes Forward Lines and Pairings
dat's sick replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
They're a cinderella team. Those are always dangerous. They want to prove all the doubters wrong. They'll be very motivated and work their butts off. Their roster doesn't look terribly impressive aside from Bryzgalov, but they've got some talented d-men, a good leader in Doan, dangerous scorers in Wolski and the red-hot Stempniak.. and overall just a hard-working, tough team to play against. I expect every game to be close.. in the end the Wings should be stronger because of experience and hopefully killing them with puck-possession, but if they can't score on Bryz early it could turn ugly. -
Crosby has been very poor away from home and played terrible whenever Malkin has been out of the lineup. Not a Hart Trophy winner imo. Henrik Sedin or Bryzgalov. I lean towards Sedin. He's just blown away all expectations.

"I swear I'll pay you back that money tomorrow Patrick, please don't do this!!"

Congrats kook! This game is very fun, thanks aussie for doing it all season, and to Dan Bylsma who has been helping out a lot! I was hoping to finish higher but kind of choked in the last 5 or 6 weeks when I needed some big scores to get into the top 10. Oh well I'll be back next year with a vengeance
-
I agree, also rebound goals shouldn't really count because how hard are they to score? Deflection goals should count for 2 points, they're very difficult. If you make a sweet deke around a defender and then go top-shelf, that's a 3 pointer IMO. NHL needs to implement this new scoring system.
-
The Avs have been pretty bad for the last weeks/months. I guess if Anderson finds his mojo again they could pull an upset but in my eyes they're easily the worst playoff team in the West. Too young, overachieved for most of the season and almost ended up missing the playoffs.
-
I can't pick upsets just for the sake of it. Like I mentioned I only see LA and Detroit beating the top-seeds. Sens could beat the Pens unless Malkin starts playing like the player he is. But I think he will. Meh, we'll see how it turns out. I think the top seeds are strong this year.

My beard is a weak one but I'll try to keep a 'stache going atleast.

Unrealistic? He only needs 3 points in 20 minutes of hockey against the worst team in the history of the NHL. I'd be surprised if he doesn't have 4 or 5 points in the 3rd.
-
Heh, I guess they're "safe". But I don't see many upsets happening in the 1st round. Colorado was by far the best team for San Jose to get. LA, Nashville or Detroit could all have knocked them out. LA or Detroit would have caused trouble for the Hawks, but Nashville doesn't have the offense to take advantage of the Hawks possibly shaky goaltending. LA could upset Vancouver. That's the only series I'm really unsure about. In the end I think Vancouver will be stronger though. Wings should be able to handle Phoenix.. Bryz scare me a bit but in a 7-game series we should be able to crack him. The bottom 4 playoff teams in the East SUCK. No upsets there.

Guessing his birthday is on the wrong side of the cut-off date for Rookies.

Was rooting for the Rags, tough way for them to lose. Lundqvist gotta be feeling like s***.. plays out of his mind and his team can't do ANYTHING to help him out. Imagine him on a decent team. Philly's not going to create any noise in the playoffs with their goaltending.
-
Nashville gives us trouble but I don't see Chicago losing. Preds have never won a road playoff game and I don't think they're built for the playoffs.
-
The Islanders is the most pathetic excuse for a hockey team ever to take the ice. Jesus christ have some pride ffs. I can see Crosby getting another 4 points.
-
4-0 Washington in the most lopsided playoff series ever. I'm not even sure Montreal will score a goal.
-
Wow Playoff Zesus came out in the OT O_O Great goal to win it. Not that I don't respect Phoenix, they'll be a tough opponent, but avoiding Vancouver was key. Bring the playoffs on!!
-
Yes, kinda reversed roles now compared to 02-03 when Naslund went without a point in the last game while Forsberg had 3 to steal the scoring title.
-
Wooo! Unless Crosby gets 8 points Henrik Sedin is the Art Ross winner. Insane. Totally deserved though, what an amazing season he's had. 2nd Swede in NHL history to win the Art Ross, only Forsberg has done it.
-
It was against Kipprusoff.

Yes sorry, my mistake!
